oooooooooooooooo I"ll watch it Friday., I will have to look at the schedule., ! :-)

Thanks Rhonda..

Yeah, the fact that it is on a weekend makes it kind of tricky with the hubby. I won't be able to watch at all on Saturday. Friday is it for me. :-( Guess that will help me be good though.

Are you guys ready for QVC this weekend?! I have to be a good girl and not order anything from QVC because I've bought so much stuff lately. But....I can't not watch the show! LOL

I already have it set on my direct tv box. I seriously need to get rid of all the boxes I've hidden in the garage before trash night. This has been a good mail week for me!

LMBO! The one big box came and my husband was here....it was a tail light for my van that we ordered from eBay. Gosh, I looked so good and innocent. :-)

I am DYING waiting!!! I mean dying. I keep checking the new listings on QVC. I think I may be able to resist the Grand collection. It looks nice, but I just bought the 2005 one with pond and bamboo that had all the same things and I can't justify another $100 just for the three colors.

The bordeaux is awfully dark. But I tried lining my eyes with it and it looked nice. I can't imagine using it as anything else though.

As far as opal, I didn't really like it. But, I did mix it well rested to make a better concealer than bisque, for me anyway.:-)

2008-11-27 07:27:23

Hi Gail! No problem! I'm so glad you are enjoying the Bismuth-free products! :) The bismuth-free foundation is more matte, it doesn't have the 'shine' that BE has. You should definitely give it a try. ;) Thanks, Lisa

I just received a sample of Lisa's Angel Dust and it is lovely. I have
never had clear radiance and now I probably never will...Angel Dust is
great. I also received Latte shadow and it is my new fav. I have been
wearig meet the browns with coffee bean liner and it is a good look for
work - subtle you know...but latte has a little oomph all by itself. I
am, however of the age group where gossamer is NOT a good look. The times
I've tried it my wrinkles glow in the dark!
Thanks Lisa for your products and teriffic service. I still can't believe
I've ordered twice and forgotten to get foundation both times. Duh.

You can also add CR or Angel Dust to your foundation,
use it as a pale lip color, eye shadow, or to lighten
up shades that are too dark. I do that with either one
of the Snow(s) or Moon Struck when my shadows are too
dark.

Re: Good Deal alert on Ebay -Chocolate

2008-11-22 11:15:04

Speaking of chocolate...I was in the Origins store a couple of days
ago and they now have chocolate bars by Jacques Torres! They had one
open for samples and far be it from me to pass something like that
by! It was creamy, yummy, chocolatey dark goodness and I must have
more. I'm gonna have to go back and buy some! The bars are each
slightly flavoured with different essential oils as part of Origins
Sensory Therapy line. I've already bought some of their cocoa therapy
lip balm in Chocolate Latte. It doesn't taste like chocolate, but it
darn sure smells like it! I can see how the whole cocoa therapy thing
works. Makes me damned happy just smelling it! Maybe I need to start
wearing chocolate scented items instead of vanilla!

2008-11-22 10:59:19

Lisa, she is obviously mad because she didn't pay attention to what she was bidding on and now wants you to take the fall for it. And i know you have no recourse, she has you over a barrel with her threats. Were i you, i would not put up any pics i didn't take myself. And if i couldnt take a pic, i wouldnt have one at all. I also sell on ebay on occassion, so i know the delima you are facing. these people are trying to buy something and resell it to make a fast buck at your expense. All i see you can do is cut your losses and give her what she wants. BUT, you can give here some bad feedback as a buyer too, so be sure you do. Maybe that'll teach her to pay attention to what she is buying. So sorry this has happened to you. Love, Bash

Look at this email I just received. People like this frustrate me so much I want to CRY!!!!!!! If she sell BE, why did she even order from me??? I just don't understand these type of people. This is the third person this week who has threatened legal action or something of that nature against me. It really stresses me out and I don't want to keep refunding people's money b/c I'm scared of them. It costs me to run the auction, for them to purchase them, for me to ship them, and then I have to refund the whole amount they paid. These people are costing me too much money and they are so mean that it just makes me sad. Then on top of all the rudeness I have to worry about them leaving me negative feedback b/c of course that is ALWAYS their first threat. Urgh, anyways I'm off to the gym to blow off some steam. Look at this darned email. She was mad that when she received her kit it was not the full size jars. This is the auction she purchased . . . .

(crap I'll have to send it in another email b/c I can't pull it while I'm in here)

Here is her email . . . . . .

"I never bothered waiting for your flowerey picture at the bottom of the screen to show up, I bid off what I saw on the auction line and read the description. Since I have sold Bare Essentials for years, I am quite familiar with the packaging and product sizes. YOU don't use their packaging or product sizes although you do picture their product in your advertising. I can see the numbers and expiration dates in the larger photo. And you picture the containers FULL. Very deceptive marketing.

Your product is already on it's way back to you. If you do not refund my money, it might be interesting for me to contact with md formulation and bare essentials. They may be very interested to see your "marketing" of their products. They have very strict guidelines as to how it is to be sold. I doubt you meet their contract guidelines and I doubt they would be happy with your representation.

You are correct, you did list in writing the amount you planned to deliver in each container. But it's not what you pictured. Those of us in business honestly don't look for the small print, warning us we are going to be ripped off."

Hi JoDee! Welcome to our group!! Thank you so much for your help! I think at this point she is probably going to leave me a negative at all costs too. I try to avoid those like the plague. ;) It sucks when you get bad feedback that is completely unfair. Especially the one you received from someone who broke their item, then you refunded their money. =( People can be so mean sometimes. Thanks again! Lisa =)
JoDee Beckett <jodeeb@...

Personally at this point she is probably going to leave you a negative no matter what. If she is going to send or as she stated has sent them back to you I would decide if you are going to refund her money. If not then I would send her an e-mail regarding the policy you have and just sit tight. I have sold on ebay for years. I had three people who were like her and in fact left me negatives over stupid items. The first negative I received was after I refunded the cost of an item that was dropped after the lady opened the package and I should have never refunded her money. She wanted me to refund the cost of the item if she was to go out and replace which was twice was she paid for it.

You know, Lisa, you have over 4000 awesome feedback comments. I would
not worry about one idiot or two who don't know 1) how Ebay works, 2)
the size of a 1/4 tsp and 3) the ones who aren't smart enough to use
email to let you know what colours they want. Take it with a grain of

DONNA - This is why I get soooo mad at new ebayers . . .

2008-11-19 10:26:04

Hi Donna! I can't believe she agreed to all of that, that's great! Maybe I'll try that. If she had paid by money order, I won't have to worry about a chargeback but unfortunately she used paypal. =( Thanks for sharing your experience. I appreciate it! Lisa :)
Donna Conner <angel91805@...

Oh, I got another one! I had something I sold on ebay and they wanted a refund and to return it. I agreed BUT I did not refund the shipping, the listing fee w/ ebay and the fee paypal charged me when she used her credit card. Oh, and she wanted me to refund her by money order...which I did, but I deducted the cost of the money order too! She actually agreed to it. And it was another one like Lisa's where she did not read the auction at all. I swear, some people are too stupid to live. ROFL!

Slinking back to corner...

Donna
Rebecca Gear <becky.gear@...

You may want to watch out about not refunding. I have read from other sellers that if someone paid with Paypal (credit card) they can do a charge back saying item was not as described. You would probably win on an appeal because it was just what you described and she admits to not reading the auction, but it can tie up your paypal account and if you don't win it will cost you another 10$ fee at paypal. I would look at the seller board this happens alot (do I refund, don't I).

If you are going to offer a refund. I would offer a partial refund (the purchase amount), no refund on shipping since she did not read the auction and you did ship what was in the auction. Not a perfect solution, just a suggestion.

She is at fault because she did not read the auction, you had it very well described about being samples. But the credit card companies will take the buyers side very frequently.

Hi Mich! I couldn't even figure out what she was talking about the expiration date, but now I see it. That's the thing.... there isn't any "fine" print in my auction. Everything is stated very clearly and the really important things are in BRIGHT RED! How can anyone miss it, even if they only read a small portion of the auction?

I've already blocked her ebay ID so she can't bid on anymore auctions. A part of me wants to just refund her money to get her to leave me alone (even though that costs me money b/c of the fees, shipping, etc) but then I think she will still probably leave negative feedback so then I'm SOL anyways. That's the only thing I don't want to come of this is the negative feedback. She can turn me in all day long. Does she really honestly think she is the first person to threaten that in all the time I've been on ebay? She's nuts! Oh well, thanks sooooo much for listening and for giving me your 2 cents. ;) I really truly appreciate everyone's support! Thanks, Lisa

OH, we DEFINITELY need the kickboxing!! or just plain boxing classes would help to! =)
Mich < bbabmontret@...

Wow, Lisa.
I'm sorry your day started off so badly. :0(
I took a look at the auction you had posted and I saw
nothing wrong with it.
I had to go over it again to see where she found the
expiration date on the jar... she looked mighty hard
for an "error".
Being totally anal, I counted how many times you
mentioned "sample". You stated it 7 times.. also
mentioning that those weren't the jars she'd receive
AND the jars the samples did come in were the size of
a quarter. As a former BE sales person she should know
that BE doesn't come in that size of a container.
I didn't see the small print she was talking about..
you say the sample size on each and every product.
Seems like spring is starting to bring out the ugly in
a lot of people for some reason. :0(
One thought I had, is if she sold BE for so long
wouldn't she realize that there's not a chance she's
going to get 9!! full size products for $24.00?
I say, if you can afford it, to refund her money and
make a note of her name and email address. That way if
she tries to bid again you can nip it right away.
Anyway, I read your feedback when I placed my first
bid and I felt safe attempting to win the auction.
I think you really won me/my wallet over (LOL) when
you sent the follow up letter with the directions and
a very polite and friendly introduction. I was REALLY
impressed with that. :0)
Hope you're workout helped you.. I know it does
wonders for me when I'm stressing. Maybe we should
both try kickboxing! :0) LOL.
Have a great day =0)

Re: [naturallyflawless] REBECCA - Her auction . . . .

2008-11-19 01:02:56

It may not be fair (ebay's feedback system can be really unfair), but your best bet is to offer a partial refund upon receipt of the package. Explain in the email, that you will refund the purchase price but that you will not be refunding the shipping since the auction delivered exactly what was promised in the description.

Here is a link to the seller central forum at ebay (great place to read, if you do ask a question expect to get at least one nasty reply from a member)

http://forums.ebay.com/db2/forum.jspa?forumID=143

You may be able to get your fees back from ebay, I looked this up in the help and you fit the buyer returning item, you provided refund:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/account/credits.html

This is a more specific instructions on getting your fees back after refunding (from the board I searched on fee refunding):
http://forums.ebay.com/db2/thread.jspa?threadID=410456578

Hope this helps (I am a small time seller, lots of buying but I read and research alot so I learn the pitfalls)

STOP Ebay FRAUD!

TOO MANY Ebay SCAMS ARE HAPPEING...HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW!

Love,

~Missi~

Email and Websites Impersonating eBay [INLINE]
[INLINE]
[INLINE]

Be sure you are on an eBay page

Before signing in, please check the Web address in your browser. If you click on a link in an email, verify that the Web address in your browser is the same as the address shown in the email. The Web address of eBay sign-in pages begins with http://signin.ebay.com/. Never type your eBay User ID and password into a Web page that doesn't have 'ebay.com" immediately before the first forward slash (/).

Some members have reported attempts to gain access to sensitive information through email requests that appear that they were sent from eBay. These requests often include links to Web pages that will request that you sign in and submit information. At eBay, we identify these as 'spoofed' email or Web sites. If you are concerned about receiving email of this nature, please review eBay's suggestions to minimize unwanted email.

eBay will never ask you to provide sign-in passwords, credit card numbers, or other sensitive information through email. If we request information from you, we will always direct you back to the eBay site. With very few exceptions, you can submit the requested information through your "My eBay" page. If you have received email requesting that you sign in or provide personal information that you suspect was not sent by eBay, please refer to the following information.

Take caution with email that includes attachments or links

eBay will not send you email that includes attachments and you will not be required to enter information on a page that cannot be accessed from the eBay site. If you receive a message that appears to have been sent from eBay that includes an attachment, do not open it.

When possible, you should avoid clicking links. Instead of clicking the link, you should copy the address and paste it into the Address/Location area of your web browser. While eBay may send email that contains links, the links are provided for convenience only. You will not be required to submit sensitive information if a direct link is provided to an eBay page.

Beware of fake Web sites pretending to be eBay

Only enter your eBay password on pages where the Web address (URL) begins with http://signin.ebay.com/. Even if the Web address contains the word "eBay", it may not be an eBay Web page.

These fake Web sites (also called "spoof" Web sites) try to imitate eBay in order to obtain your eBay password and access to your account.

Before signing in, please check the Web address in your browser. The Web address of all genuine eBay sign-in pages will begin with http://signin.ebay.com/. Never type your eBay User ID and password on a page that doesn't have "ebay.com" immediately before the first forward slash (/).

International eBay Web sites will have slightly different sign-in addresses. They will include the letters that designate the site the address is associated with (for example, http://signin.ebay.fr for France, http://signin.ebay.de for Germany, etc.), followed by a forward slash (/). A complete list of sign-in pages for International eBay Web sites is given below:
Site Sign-In/Login URL
Australia http://signin.ebay.au/...
Austria, Germany, Switzerland http://signin.ebay.de/...
Belgium http://signin.benl.ebay.be/...
http://signin.befr.ebay.be/...
Canada http://signin.ebay.ca/...
France http://signin.ebay.fr/...
Ireland, Sweden, United Kingdom http://signin.ebay.co.uk/...
Italy http://signin.ebay.it/...
Netherlands http://signin.ebay.nl/...
New Zealand, Singapore http://signin.ebay.com/...
Spain http://signin.es.ebay.com/...
Taiwan http://signin.tw.ebay.com/...
https://scgi.tw.ebay.com/...

If the address includes additional characters prior to the forward slash such as "@," dashes, etc., it is not an eBay page.

Report Suspicious Email to eBay

To report email requesting account information that you suspect was not sent by eBay send us the email send us the emailwith the complete message text and full header or forward the entire message to spoof@... using the forward function of your email program. When forwarding the message, do not change the subject line, send additional text, or forward the message as an attachment. Forwarding the message in this manner will allow us to review the message headers and any other information that may be attached to the email.

The spoof@... email address is reserved for handling reports of attempts to impersonate eBay. In order to investigate these reports in a timely manner, we can only accept forwarded messages at this address.

If you have already submitted information after receiving an email request and you suspect that your eBay account may have been tampered with, please refer to the following page for information on Securing Your Account and review the steps on the Protecting Your Identity page.

Take a tutorial on how to spot a spoof (fake) email.

Maybe you two could do a mutual withdrawl?? I had to do that recently with a woman on Ebay. We both agreed that the transaction couldn't go through.

Hi Rebecca! Thank you so much! This is an excellent point. I ALWAYS forget about chargebacks! And I also forgot about that darned paypal fee when an investigation is opened.

Have you ever heard of being able to get feedback removed without the seller agreeing to it? I was on ebay the other day and saw a feedback removal on a person's account and the reason had an ebay link to learn more about it, but now I can't find it. You seem very knowledgeable about ebay, so I thought maybe you have heard of this somewhere. ;)

Offering a partial refund is a good idea. I still don't want negative feedback. I wonder if I told her once she leaves me positive feedback I will refund her money, it she'll tell me to go to H ..E..double hockey sticks?? =) Thanks again for your help! I really appreciate it! Thanks, Lisa =)

bid and I felt safe attempting to win the auction.
I think you really won me/my wallet over (LOL) when
you sent the follow up letter with the directions and
a very polite and friendly introduction. I was REALLY
impressed with that. :0)
Hope you're workout helped you.. I know it does
wonders for me when I'm stressing. Maybe we should
both try kickboxing! :0) LOL.
Have a great day =0)

Hi Dana! That's great! I'm so glad your order arrived safely and you are pleased with everything! ;) Thanks so much for letting me know! Lisa =)
Lisa, I got my order, and I am having a ball playing with the colors!! I accidentally ordered one dupe of True, I already had it, but that is ok, I use it all the time! It was like my birthday, opening all those little pots!!!

LMBO, we all make typos! I do it all the time! I always leave out words completely, especially when I'm all fired up and I type super fast, LOL. ;)

MANDA - Her auction . . . .

2008-11-16 16:26:56

Hi Manda! LMBO, you are right there is no 'fine print'. Everything is bold, big letters and some are even bright red! Can you really fight to get a negative taken off without the person who left it agreeing to do so? Thanks! Lisa =)
purple_dragon03 <purple_dragon03@...

lisa... she cannot put any neg about you.. you can fight it thru ebay and they will reverse it.. it obviously states sample size!! how sad.. she is a dimwit... what does she mean she doesnt read the fine print... it isnt fine print... it is bold!! nope you can win this one... i forget the name but there is a place to dispute it with her thru ebay.. its her mistake not yours.. ebay says before you press submit.. READ THE FINE PRINT!!! good luck and have a great day. manda

This is the exact auction she bought. Not the one with her ebay ID on it, but the exact same one. . . .

MICH - This is why I get soooo mad at new ebayers . . .

2008-11-16 09:49:52

Mich <bbabmontret@...

RHONDA - This is why I get soooo mad at new ebayers . . .

2008-11-15 18:06:19

Hi Rhonda! I wonder if there is a place to report someone like that. I have no clue. The thing is I think she is BS'ing all of the stuff about selling BE for years. She has a feedback score of 5. If she did sell BE why wouldn't she know you can't get 6 FULL SIZE products and a BE brush for $20!!!! I think mostly she's just trying to threaten me into giving her her money back. This is just ridiculous! This is the second person who threatened to "turn me in". Thanks for being there Rhonda! ;) Lisa
Rhonda Powell <rhonda_k_powell@...

Lisa,

Yes, her email is rude. People in business are suppose to look at the fine print as well as anyone else. Anytime people make a purchase, in "real" life or on eBay it is "buyer beware." That's just how life works.

The other thing that I tend to go by is prices...if a BE color is listed at less than $5 then I check it closely to see if it is just a sample or what. I've never seen a full-size eye color go for less than $8 separately. Anybody who has been around eBay for any amount of time, buyer or seller, knows to check for this sort of stuff. Especially someone who says they sell BE there themselves. Give me a break.

Can't you report junk like that to eBay? I mean, a person can say they're upset and they want a refund, but all that crap about legal action is ridiculous. She got exactly what you advertised.

Hang in there!

Rhonda
Lisa Moore <lexismommy23@...

JANIS - This is why I get soooo mad at new ebayers . . .

2008-11-15 16:54:38

Hi Janis! Thank you so much for your help! Just having other points of views on this (good or bad) makes dealing with people like this easier. =) Thanks! Lisa
Lisa,

As far as I am concerned she is entirely at fault. She clearly states that she didn't read the fine print. That right there was her mistake. I have bid on a few auctions also by looking at the picture and assuming that I knew what I was gonna get. Then when I actually got the item it was different then what I expected. I went back to the ebay ad and sure enough, if I had only read it all I would have known it wasn't what I thought it was. In those cases I just chalk it up to a mistake on my part, should have read the entire ad. I'm sorry you have to deal with people like this. Maybe you will need to change your pictures, although you really shouldn't have to. Hope the trip to the gym helped! Janis
