Yes, I can see how trading colors can do that. I need to do more of that myself. I need to remind myself that colors can always be traded and I should save my money on stuff that can't be, like Faux Tan and Liquid Loofah. See, I'm learning! :-)

Yesterday I bought Sally Hansen 18 hr. Lip Treatment. There are 2 tubes
of gloss, one peach, one pink. The package says it's part of the healig
beauty line. The Lip Treatments contain "Moisturizing Retinol, Grape Seed
Oil and Mango rehydrate, soothing Allantoin pampers lips. Time-released
formula delivers superior moisturization hour after hour." and it has just
a hint of tint. "This lip product contains a special combination of A, C,
& E that helps improve lips with every use."
I have worn it for 2 days now, reapplying after meals and I am impressed.
I struggle to keep my lips moist and this has really helped. I will try
it under my regular lipstick tomorrow. It doesn't smell or taste bad
either. It's a new product to me. Does anyone else have any experience
with it? The colors are sheer enough to dip in the minerals for lip color
too.

Tips for applying false Eyelashes:
* Before you apply the lashes, line your upper
lash line with a mahogany eyeliner and smudge
it
slightly to create a smoky effect. This will
help to conceal the lashband.
* Apply the glue to your finger, lightly pull the
lashband through it, and wait a moment. Or, dip

the end of the individual lash in the glue.
* Apply the false lashes as close to your natural lash
line as possible; press the lash down for a few

seconds on the outside of the eye. If you are
applying individual lashes, apply them to the
outside corners of the eye and work your way
toward your nose. For the most natural look,
all
you need is a few individual lashes per eye.
* After you've applied the false lashes, curl them
along with your real lashes and apply mascara.
It's best to reserve this look for special occasions;
long-term use can lead to eye irritation from the
glue, and even infections.

I so the same thing. I transfer a little bit into a

it.
I bought this off of Ebay and never really noticed the
date till someone mentioned it a while back.
It's BE foundation, so I only add a little at a time
to my Biz-Free during the winter. (no heat or humidity

I'd use away ..... Would think they have to put shelf life on the products... but goodness what could happen? If you start noticing breakouts or any changes in your face stop using.

KRIS - Anyone need a Luscious Kabuk...

2008-10-20 13:06:06

Hi Kris! Yes, my dispensing brush has three different dials on it that control the amount of powder that comes out of the middle of the brush. It's pretty neat. ;) I'll set a Luscious Kabuki aside for you. I *love* the Urban Decay primer! It's really worth the $.

Hey did you send me a color me beautiful book yet? I haven't received it, but I did get my tea. Thanks so much!! Lisa =)
Lisa

Tell me about the refillable mineral brushes. Does the powder come out from inside the brush? The reason I ask is that Arbonne sells a finishing powder in a wand that actually comes out from the middle of the brush. I thought about emptying one and putting either the foundation or mineral veil in one and seeing if it would work. However, if yours works like that I might just buy one from you. Yours look a little smaller than mine. I think it would be better for the pocketbook.

I would also like a Luscious Kabuk. I think I want to order some more blushes so give me some time to look at the blushes and make a decision. But reserve a brush for me. The UD Primer really works!! In fact it works so well I had a hard time getting my eye makeup off!! I used it again today but didn't put as much on. I want to see how that works.

I already have 3 and I've given one to everyone I know who uses my products. ;) Does anyone on here want one for $15 plus $1.50 shipping? The Luscious Kabuki is SUPER soft. Target has a much better selection of cosmetic bags/organizers. They also have decent brushes if you're looking for something cheap to make due with until you can buy some nice ones. Good deal with the gift card. We have two Wally Worlds and two Targets. All are the super stores. However, they are all equally far apart from me...none on my side of town. I hate it! Going to Wally World is such a chore...I really try to avoid the place on weekends at all costs!

By the way, I noticed how you enabled Lisa on the Faux Tan!! LOL

OK, Dear Rhonda...were we like separated at birth or something?? Yeah, I got the silver one at Wally World...It has 4 shelfs (?) layers (?), two on each side. It was marked down to $12, so I'm happy. I really need to go look at Target. I haven't been to one in ages and I have a gift card to use to boot! If they would build one on my side of town, I'd go there more often!

I have a Tungsten E that I really, really like. It has just enough gadets with it that I am happy and not too many. I downloaded a freeware program for budgeting....smirk...my BE habit made me do it!!! :-)

The reviews on the program sounded okay. Nobody said a thing about a problem like this. I got all my bills entered in and nothing was wrong. Then I tried to turn it on the next day and nothing, totally black. I did a soft reset and it wouldn't work. Then, after several other soft resets and it showed I lost everything I about cried!!!

My husband has become a bit too dependant upon me having this. He thinks I keep his schedule (outside of work) for him...ha...not. He's a big boy.

Rhonda-
Which program are you using on your PDA? I've got a Palm m135 that I
love so much! The battery has died on me twice and I've replaced it.
Took me forever to find the little wrench to open the case with, but
we finally found one at Home Depot. I've changed the faceplate out
for a pretty purple one and bought a couple of different keyboards for
it.
Henry couldn't get along without his PDA. He's got a TREO. I call it
his brain. He would be completely and totally lost without it!
Glad yours has survived!

Yeah, I worry a lot about cancer. My dad died of melanoma...the kind from the uv rays. Also, I don't tan well in tanning beds. It takes like four times for me to look normal, let alone tan. Too much of the bad rays for me.

I like the faux tan a lot. As soon as I get back from the makeunder I'm going to do it again and try to keep it up this time through the summer.

Good luck organizing!

Re: [naturallyflawless] Train Cases . . .

2008-10-16 17:25:54

I picked up a decent train case at Sears this week. It has 2 fold out trays and 2 drawers. It was on clearance for $12! I got 2 of them (you never know when you need an extra one) It was filled with tons of make up, which I took out and gave to the teenage girl down the street. Check it out if you are at Sears. Janis

Train Cases . . .

2008-10-16 15:08:37

Speaking of train cases, I meant to tell everyone what I saw at Target. A couple of months ago I was looking around for decently priced train cases for another member. I saw this one at Coco Cosmetics and really wanted the pink striped case, but . . .

http://www.cococosmetics.com/mmart54106/newpinkprocase.html
$84.50 was way too much for me, so I waited. Then we started planning the Chicago trip and I realized I don't have a case to transport my makeup. The last time I was at Target I went to look at their cosmetic organizers and low and behold there was a pink striped case. It's a tad different with two trays that fold out when you open it and I believe there aren't any dividers, but I could be mistaken. But none the less it's pretty much the same case and the BEST part it was only $25!

They also had one very similar to this $75 one . . .

http://www.cococosmetics.com/mmart54106/al14smootfin.html

So if anyone is looking for a train case, go check your Target stores. :)

I know me well enough to know that if I get it set in my mind that I want something that bad then I just need to buy it. Besides, I've got too many BE samples now! I need more room than the caboodle I'm using.

Michelle...are you the one that said they use clear labels to put on the sides of the pots so you can see the color and the name at the same time? I can't find labels small enough. I've tried using small mailing labels and putting two or three names on one label but they're a pain to try and cut each time. Surely there must be an easier way!

2008-10-12 15:19:08

Hey Jill! I totally forgot about this file that is in the files section of our home page. Some of these might help. ;)

First here are some Bare Minerals suggestions . . .
1. Be sure you aren't using too much product on your brush at one time. 2. Have you tried putting Mineral Veil on very first before everything and as
the last step?
3. Have you tried mixing some Mineral Veil into your foundation?
Here are some really great products to help with the oilies and making makeup
stay put . . . .
1. Ice Cream Man by Philosophy - makeup primer. Here's a blurb about it from
the site . . .dream cream will help to diminish small imperfections and create
a silky smooth finish for a flawless face. You can email Philosophy and ask
for a sample at custsvc@.... 2. SuperMatte AntiShine (another makeup primer) - you can get samples for $2
@ www.makeupartistschoice.com ALSO try the rice blotting papers. There are a ton of them out there. Bath
and Body Works sells a good rice blotting paper for $3 for 50 (I believe) and
Clean and Clear's are pretty good. They are blue, but they don't leave any
residue behind or anything. ;o)

Re: [naturallyflawless] Donna...Faux Tan

LMBO

You're funny. I enable you?!!! :-) I'm trying to go back to my natural very fair skin complexion for my makeunder next week. I can't seem to get this Faux Tan off my hands! If I didn't want it to come off you know it would have come off days ago! :-)

I'd say it depends on how tan your tan is. I try to apply it at night so I wake up darker in the morning. If it isn't dark enough then, after you shower do another application. It will darken up in about an hour.

Good luck.

Rhonda

Rhonda,

How's the PDA coming?? {{{get well pda vibes coming}}}

How's the faux tan? I got some yesterday. Haven't tried it. Anyone else notice just how much Rhonda enables me???? Bad Rhonda! :-) Now..to be honest....I got the serious farmer tan happening....do you think this will blend it or will I have to do two coats on my seriously white upper arms??? ROFL!!!! Not that I cruise around sleeveless, except at home, but I don't want to look tooo goofy!

WOW....I knew I liked you guys but I never knew you were so powerful. As Thea can attest, I have been at it with this pda tonight for more than three hours. I sent the message to you guys about needing good vibes and presto, it FINALLY worked. Now I have my fingers crossed that it will still be this way tomorrow!

PDAs rock! I've had one now for more than two and a half years (I've had two different ones). I don't know how people survive without them, especially mothers! I keep our family's entire schedule on this puppy and it is always in my purse. I have NEVER had this happen before and I NEVER want to experience it again.

Rhonda
"Thea B." <thearb@...

gosh if we could get everyones vibes together., it might help?
What exactly happened.. you told me once... Jeez. I've never had a pda

Thea

Oh no!!! Sending good vibes to your PDA. ;) Thanks, Lisa
Rhonda Powell <rhonda_k_powell@...

Okay guys...my pda is very, very sick. Please give it some powerfully good thoughts!! I can't afford another one right now...I've spent too much on BE for that! LOL Seriously though, I had just finished putting all my BE stuff on my pda for my trip to the Chicago boutique on May 1.

You know how you need water to live?! That's how bad I need my pda. I haven't gone a day without it for YEARS and I'm about to cry, scream, etc.

So, give some good thoughts gals, good thoughts!!

Thanks.

Hey, is this the a BE or BF #1? I like the bisque but my under eye circles apparently are heavy duty ones and the bisque helps diminish them but it definitely doesn't hide them.

Rhonda
Lisa Moore <lexismommy23@...

Hi Pixel! Welcome to the group!!! I would recommend the Hide It conceal and Wake Up corrector. Yellow seems to hide dark circles. I would also recommend possibly picking up a sample of #1 Neutral and Snow shadow to mix together as a dark circle concealer. I use this concealer concoction on my blemishes and I love it. It'd also be great for fair skintones. Mich on here uses it and she is very fair. ;) If you decide to do the custom mix the portions are the whole sample of #1 Neutral and just a small portion of the Snow sample (roughly a 1/4 of the 1/4 tsp ;). If you have any other questions at all, don't hesitate to ask. Thanks, Lisa =)

I'm new to the list and thinking about ordering some of the bismuth
free powders from naturallyflawless.com. Can someone tell me which of
the finishing powders correlate with BE's bisque and summer bisque,
and which might be best for covering very dark purplish under eye
circles on someone with very fair skin (BE #1 foundation is a good
match for my skin).
TIA,

JILL - Help please

2008-10-07 05:01:06

Hey Jill! Have you tried putting the BF finishing powder under your foundation and over it? The Bismuth-free foundation is also a matte finish, so that may help too. Thanks, Lisa :)
Jill Nellis <gjnellis@...

I know BE is supposed to give you a glow but I think mine is truly shine because I glow in the early morning and by mid morning, its shiny and it even looks blotchy! So, Im taking Theas suggestion and I purchased a starter kit of Mineral Basics. With that and Lisas Bismuth Free Finishing Powder (which I love already it really DOES stop the itching). Ill let everyone know how it works. This just HAS to work, since Im not willing to look like a shiny all summer long

RE: [naturallyflawless] CHRIS - Newbie

Thanks! The wait is killing me. I received an email shortly after I placed my order telling me it would be shipped in 3-4 weeks. I'm thinking "No way, I'm sure it'll be shipped by the end of the week." Well, it's already Friday and I haven't received another word from them yet. So I've got over 2-3 weeks to go before I have it. Ooooh, the pain, the misery, the want, the need! This is going to be a very long wait.

Re: [naturallyflawless] (Rhonda) double-ended precision brush

2008-10-06 10:25:21

Yeah, I got foliage in a kit I bought at the BE boutique. I really like it!

Rhonda
"Thea B." <thearb@...

Yea some of the shipping is outrageous., but they don't have to pay percentages on that., so it makes sense but have to be on the look out for sure.! There is a couple gals who sell shadows for 9.99 and 10.99 with 1.50 shipping so if there is a color I have to have and can't wait...

Do you have Foliage Rhonda?

Thea

Rhonda.... - brush

2008-10-06 00:07:13

I used the double ended precision brush this morning.... and I really like the thicker liner end... you get more of a mutted liner like when they use the slanted brush and work it under the lashes... I also like to have a wider line on the outside of my eye.... so this works great. Also the shadow ended brush holds a lof of shadow so tap good... but I was done with application in two swipes... then blended the edges., I tend to have a wide area I put shadow in the crease... For me., I give this brush an A++ iF BE's brush is anything like Lisas.... it should be a sure winner. I felt like I had way more control over where the shadow went and more even coverage of color.

So you'll have to let us know when you get it. Yah..... or Nah..... :-)
