Mich has tried it but she is still out of town. It's a very close match, but it's a more neutral pink. A lot of yellow tones that couldn't wear BE's Clear Radiance should be able to wear Angel Dust. ;)
Jennifer Asher <jasher8@...
Has anyone used the Bismuth Free Clear Radiance? Does it compare
favorably with BE? I was just ordering samples and can't decide between
them. Help::))

Jennifer Asher <jasher8@...
how would you compare gossamer to clear radiance?? i have gossamer.....
Oh I LOVE CR.I use that daily!
CR,is more of a subtle sheen that gives you a glow rather than a glittery effect like gossamer.
To me gossamer is what I would wear if I were going out on the town or to a party or something.
Don't get me wrong,it is very pretty!! I have mixed in a little with other colors if they seem too drab too.
To me,I would rather own the CR.I actually have 2...lol....I lost mine and then ordered another one.Of course, before it came in I found the lost one.
That's ok,though,I have a good supply of CR!

I love Avon's Lighten Up! It takes two weeks before you start really seeing results but if you apply it every day the under eye circles will lighten considerably. I've seen it on eBay fairly cheap. I think it normally runs $15 but I got some for half that a few weeks ago on eBay.
As far as bags, I don't know about that. Sorry.

My daughter (the teen not living with us right now) started talking about BE when she returned from Chicago last weekend at the place she is staying at. Turns out that one of the guys there, his wife sells BE stuff on eBay too. Lisa, once again, let me say you have the best deals around!!
Anyway, I did end up getting some goddess kit samples from her because I could get them the same day....what can I say, I'm impatient! :-)
I love the colors! I forgot to try the blush and already had one on so I'll have to leave that for tomorrow. But, the eye colors were great. The humor liner scared me looking at it in the pot, but once I got it on it was okay.
Rhonda
Glad I could help! :-)
"Thea B." <thearb@...
Carmex... that's it., thanks Rhonda., been racking my brain this morning.,
[LINK]
Hey, I forgot about this aspect until I mentioned something to Jenn.
If you shop at a BE boutique you can get a preferred customer card. For each $10 you spend you get a punch, for 10 or 12 - I can't remember which - you get $10 off your next purchase. I filled one whole card and was more than half way done on my next one by the time I left the boutique. :-)
The thing I really like is that if you want to order anything from their store you can do that and use your preferred customer card. It counts toward your purchases! :-) And, they gladly ship. I'm thinking of doing some liquid loofah and the lavendar body products this way when I get some more cash.
Also, be sure to watch out for special events. I called the boutique last night because I wanted something shipped. They told me about a special event at the end of the month. A make under by a national BE makeup artist. It costs $25, however, you can turn around and use that toward products. *duh*
To me it is a no brainer but my husband wasn't so thrilled. I didn't think the four hour drive was bad at all. Of course, gas prices and the toll roads aren't helping my cause. It cost us about $40 in gas and $12 in tolls. Much cheaper to ship but not nearly as much fun!
Wish me luck in my challenge to convince the husband to let me do the special event!
Rhonda
Carmex... that's it., thanks Rhonda., been racking my brain this morning.,
LOL
[INLINE]
That sounds really good. *duh* I didn't think of vaseline. I thought of Carmax too. I use it quite a bit for Iowa winters. I blended some true in but wasn't thrilled with the visual results on my lips. Not enough of the sparkle came through.
I'll have to try the vaseline and some of the UD products. My husband was having fun at Sephora's smelling all the Dessert Treats. :-)
Rhonda
tinakellett <tinakellett@...
I made lip gloss out of valeline and the UD body powder, marshmallow!
The vaseline really picks up the color and shine of the UD powder! It's
really pretty, a silvery, white and tastes sweet, I used 1/2 tsp of
vaseline to 1/4 tsp of powder. Then I did it again and added 1/8
approx of the fruit cocktail blush from BE and it became a pretty pink,
and still tastes sweet. Then I used the same formula but instead of
marshmallow, I used the UD Cocoa, a great color, shiny brown, but the
taste is a little weak. I added x-tra cocao, but still weak. Over
all, very pleased, and they fit almost perfect into the little lilac
pots I got from Lisa! I made a set for me, my daughter and my co-
worker. They loved them! I ended up with 9 pots full, and still 1/2
of the vaseline left, (I bought the small jar). Very cheap to make. I
didn't even use 1/2 of the Cocoa sample I got from Lisa. (I have the
full size marshmallow, love that stuff:)
Oooooooooooo,that sounds cool!!
I have been mixing vaseline with the minerals, too.
I didn't get any of the UD powders :((
I wanted to but was broke!
DOntcha just love those little purple pots?
Jenn A
Sounds like a great mix...... it's so fun to be able to have other uses.... never heard of using vaseline., it's an idea.... I heard one gal say she uses her lip balm the one that comes in the yellow jar., the name escapes me this early in the morning.,
Those purple pots from Lisa are really kewt!.

Gail , just found this on a cosmetics site:I have not done this but these people are pretty knowledgable about essential oils. The jury remains out on whether you should use tea tree eo "neat" or not. I do know cider vinegar is used in place of bleach in many cases and considered antiseptic. This is just for your information and i'll leave it up to you as to whether you want to try it or not. Bash
submitted by HBN President Donna Maria This easy-as-you-please combination has helped me zap unexpected and annoying zits overnight. Try it!
Yield: 1 application for a zit

Ingredients:
1/4 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1 drop Tea Tree essential oil
Blending Procedure:
Saturate a cotton swap with the apple cider vinegar. Add a single drop of tea tree essential oil. Dab the cotton swab on the zit and leave overnight. Cover with a small band-aid if your pillow might rub Zit Zapper off while you sleep. When you arise, you should notice the zit has diminished. Rhiannon is almost 8. She's the most adorable little imp with
strawberry blonde hair and big blue eyes. She's fair skinned like her
mommy and has a sprinkling of freckles across her nose. And the
little toot has one dimple on her right cheek. I couldn't have asked
for a better child. She was an incredible baby, sleeping through the
night at 4 days old. She continued being incredible. I'm so going to

Hey Manda, I have not received them yet (Alaska needs a bit of extra
shipping time). I not only have BE coming now, but colorevolution and
some other brand I found on ebay (34 colors in 5 gram pots, 1 tsp) for
15$ shipped.
On making lip balm. I have made my own using empty 5 gram jars,
Carmex (the kind in a tub) and various True Colors powders. I just
scooped some carmex (about 1/3 a tub), then used a different scoop and
added some powders, mixing and adding until it looked right. They
give just a touch of color on, but I use lip liner underneath. I hate
the feel of lipstick and Carmex is an alaskan necessity, dry lips are
bad.
You guys have the best group, I have enjoyed reading on it the last
month or so. Thanks for the great welcome.

Hi Rhonda,
I am pretty light right now,I've been wearing 2.I can get pretty dark tan in the summer.
Jenn A
I didn't make a whole container of this but the other day I was wearing 2000 (silvery shimmer) and decided to dip some lip gloss in the color and see how it looked. It actually looked quite well. I was surprised and didn't think I someone my age could pull that off but it wasn't too silvery, just enough to give you a nice shine.
I know Lisa is going to be selling lip stuff but I'm impatient (sorry Lisa!) and I have some lip gloss and some True here. How do you mix them together to make a nice container of lip gloss?

Her first one! Of course, being the mama's girl that she is, she

You know, a lot of companies end up trying to stop online sales of their product if they don't/can't control them completely. Afterall, it may be cutting into their profits. It is just typically business practices. As long as we have Lisa, QVC, and eBay our additiction can go on forever. :-)

Personally, I think it's just sour grapes. That website is just
ticked off that BE won't sell to them any longer. Most likely, Be had
good reasons for severing business ties with them. If they make
people think that BE won't be available online any longer, then maybe
a lot of BE users will switch to the new product that they are
carrying. Scare tactics like that just p!ss me off to the nth
degree.

Not at all. What it means is that there are just a couple of online

Hi Thea! I see Manda sent you to my site (thanks Manda!) for the BE jars. ;) I also have the 10g sifter jars for just .35 each. =) Thanks, Lisa
"Thea B." <thearb@...
No kidding.... I found a place to get the 10g jar with the sifters.... 25 for under $18.00... figured the 72 cents a peice would be paid for in the next spill... .... Unfortunately the sifters in the new jars don't fit in the old/regular jars.... But I did move a shadow out of one of it and put in one I use more often...
Are the new sifter jars going to be a standard or only certain colors/promotions?
Thea
I'm just the opposite. I love the sifters! I call them my spill
preventers. I dropped an open container into the sink this morning
and only lost a miniscule amount because of the sifter. If it had
been my Sugarplum eyeliner, I would have lost most of it.
So save those sifters that you pull out, Donna, I'll take'em!

What faux tan do you use? Claudia
It says for fair skinned people to put a thin layer on. I did my neck and stuff and had my daughter do my back. I apparently did the front darker but both look okay as far as the coloring.
The lady at the BE boutique said to just add some warmth to my face along with my regular foundation when I have the Faux Tan on my face. It seems to work.
Rhonda
P.S. Glad to know I'm not the only pale-skinned person out there. :-)

Yes, the tea tree smell is not pretty. I have learned a bit about Tea Tree Oil and its uses. Here are some facts:
Tea Tree is typically sold as a "oily/blemished" skin solution. Tea Tree Oil comes from the Tea Tree (grown in Australia). I wouldn't say it is a moisturizing product; it's more of a "dry up oil" type product. Because it is a natural ingredient, it works at combating blemishes without being overly drying. The natural tea tree oil helps get rid of the bacteria that causes blemishes without over drying the skin. You can put a few drops of tea tree oil in a foot bath to naturally deodorize your feet. Tea Tree Oil has been sold all over the world to fight everything from bad breath to fleas!
The Body Shop carries a full line of Tea Tree facial care products (cleansers/toners/oil free moisturizers/oil mattifying moisture gel, mask, scrub, blemish sticks, etc) They are gentle enough to use everyday and are perfect for oily/blemished skin types. One of the cleansers is even a mouse that you pump out of the bottle- nice and gentle. I use these products once a month as that's when I notice more oil problems J This product line has become a best seller because it lives up to it's claims; it fights oil and blemishes.
The Tee Tree Oil products from the Body Shop are diluted to 15% to make it safe and gentle for use directly on the skin.
If you're interested in trying some Tea Tree products or want to read more about them, check out my website:

I think Lisa has this somewhere on the groups page but for anyone that hasn't done this --it is the greatest!
I have terrible skin and ages ago Lisa told me about using an aspirin "mask"--it is fab!
You have to get the generic uncoated aspirin and crush some and add water just to a paste like consistancy then put it all over your face and kinda relax until it all crumbles off.
It has really really helped my skin--I use it as a spot healer too!
Just had to share.

I meant to post this before and forgot. My memory is the first thing to go!! :-)
I tried the Youthful Essence that is hawked on TV. I REALLY like it but not sure if I want to keep buying it with the sugar scrub idea now. However, there is a nifty little applicator machine that came with the kit that I really like and would suggest using with the sugar scrub.
I saw that one of the everyday lines...I think Neutrogena....has a similar tool at Wally World. This hand-held gizmo is great. It works the exfoliant in very evenly and feels great.
Let me know if anyone tries it. I think the Youthful Essence kit is worth the price. But, dang it, Lisa is just offering so many BE samples that I can't afford all my habits that I've picked up. :-)
Rhonda
Okay, all you guys are talking about getting the Goddess kits in the mail. Where do you get on an auto-ship list for these? And, how often are they sent?
Do they tend to be a hit every time or are they hit and miss?
Thanks.
Rhonda
Rebecca,
Welcome to the group! We do seem to have lots of fun here. However, beware, these ladies are major enablers!! LOL
Since I started with the group (less than a month now) I've bought FAR too much BE stuff, got an eyebrow stencil and shaped my eyebrows, and colored my hair and got a whole new haircut. But, I must say I'm looking darn good! LMBO
Lisa is the best! You ask for it and she seems to deliver time after time. I feel very lucky to have found her on eBay. She gives the best samples prices around! I have a lady locally who sells on eBay and even with having her in town I quickly learned that it is best to work with Lisa. She offers great prices, excellent customer service, and just about anything else a person can offer!

True Colors is the first kind of "loose" makeup I ever used and this
was about 5 years ago. I remember I had this blue that was a great
eye shadow color and my roomate at a convention I went to, dumped it
everywhere. AND I had this pink/red color that made the perfect
lipgloss mixed with the clear lipgloss stuff that smelled sooo good.
Wow Can't believe I remember all that
BTW: Why dont you like the company?
Good because I NEED my Qvc!
BTW, ordered some #3 foundation today, I'll let you all know if it
works better for me.
OOOH and I finally bought the Almay eye makeup remover pad thingys
and I LOVE them :)

Attention Bare Escentuals Customers:
MD Beauty, the parent company of Bare Escentuals advised us that they
no longer want their products sold online and will no longer sell to
online retailers like us. We have acquired a new Superior line of
mineral make up. These products are made in U.S.A. of the highest
quality ingredients available on the market today and should you try
and not like this product we offer a 30 Day money back guarantee.
I have not posted here yet, I have been reading for ideas on mineral
makeup. Until recently I only had True Colors stacks of mineral
makeup. Now I have Bare Essentials, Color Evolution and some other
brand coming my way.
I love reading this groups messages, it gives me ideas and information
on various methods, techniques and stuff. If I ever get into
foundation I will be looking into mineral foundation (seems like it
would suit me more).
Well I just wanted to see if anyone had heard about this (no more online BE).

Hi,

Donna,
Sorry I'm late on this. I wasn't feeling well so I'm trying to play catch up now.
If your brows don't fit in the stencil you've selected maybe you can try one of the next smaller stencil sizes. It sounds like you have either thin or light-colored brows to start with. Also, I have seen people trim them. Never occurred to me but once I saw it I did trim a few of my hairs that were longer. Worked quite well.
Oh, and back to my make sure they're not lopsided line...I reshaped mine today. I went one size thinner than I did last time. THought I should get used to the shapes gradually! I colored them both in before doing any tweezing at all. This helped me check to make sure they were even. Before I just did them one at a time.
Rhonda

Hi Donna! I can help out a little! ;) If you are using a stencil to do them, I would put the stencil over them and use a liner pencil to color the stencil in. Take your tweezers and pluck the hairs not colored. Make sure to grab them as close to the base of the hair as possible and make sure to pull in the direction that they grow. After you are finished with all your plucking, comb your brows straight up (the new metal lash comb you have works great for this) and trim all the stray ones. Don't forget to pluck the stray dark hairs that grow over your brows too. :)
This is another tip sort of related to this topic. After I apply all my makeup, I take clear mascara or brow gel and brush my brows up then sort of shape them along my arch. It's suppose to make your eye look more awake. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks, Lisa =)
Donna Conner <angel91805@...
I admit it, I'm scared. I need to tame these virgin brows, and I am afraid. I got my brow stencils today. I'm not going to actually DO them tonight. I need better tweezers first...hubby lost my good slanted ones. Then I'm sure I can find another excuse. Any advice?? I found the shape to go for...but my brows aren't that wide. Now, on some show...maybe it was What Not to Wear...the makeup woman tamed this guys bushy brows by brushing them straight up and clipping to make them even (he had a few wild long ones!) then smoothed them down. Now, should I do that first?? I don't even know if I would have any to trim. Then what? Put the stencil on and color in with something wild to see it? I got a few eyeliner/lipliners I'll never use again. HA! Then pluck away? Can someone come and hold my hand????
Wahhhhhh
