CELIA - Newbie, with troubles

2007-10-31 18:31:15

Hi Celia! Welcome to the group! We are glad to have ya!!

The crepy look could be caused by using too much foundation. Try using just a tiny bit (smaller than you think would cover your face, just a few sprinkles) and swirl it allover your face. After you are down swirling give the foundation about 5 minutes to warm up and take a look at your skin. If you aren't happy with the coverage, apply another very thin layer. With mineral makeup less is more. :) It's hard to get use to using such a small amount, but I assure you that's all it takes. Keep us posted. If this doesn't work I have another suggestion for ya! ;) Thanks, Lisa

cgodsil1 <cbmg@...

Hi folks,
I just joined this board and love to read your comments. It is pretty
slow today though. Hmmmmmmm. I also just got BE and am trying to work
with it. I have never worn a foundation before because I didn't like
the looks of them. The problem now is, I am using a lightener and it
makes my face a little dry. So, I use a moisturizer let it soak in
and then BE. Well the BE makes my face look like the crepey little
old ladies....no offence to any one out there. If I am not wearing
the BE then my face does not look crepey or dry. However, I like the
color that BE gives to my face. Any hints or clues as to how I can
solve this probem??
Thanks so much. This board is like a sister/friend girl party!

Newbie and questions

2007-10-31 14:43:22

Hi! I tried BE for the first time this weekend and really like it. I
bought it in Charlotte, NC. I walked in without an appointment and it
was going to be an hour before the girl could get to me.She tested me
and sold me 2.3. Yesterday I felt like it accentuated my wrinkles(I
am 53). I tried it again today and felt like it was a touch too dark.
After reading Lisa's advice about using just a little, I washed my
face and tried it again. It was much better wrinkle wise and color
wise. However, I think I might be happier with #2.I think I am either
going to order some samples from Lisa or just ride the 2 hours back
to Charlotte and try the other colors. Now for a few questions...
Lisa, when a person orders samples from you are they getting actual
Bare Mineral product? Can anyone sell BE or is it just sold in stores
and on QVC? The reason I ask is that I sell Arbonne, a botanically
based skin care product. I like their makeup but this is so easy and
fast.I am thinking I would like to carry this also but didn't know if
individuals could do that?
Thanks
Kris

I tried an experiment.

2007-10-31 03:28:44

I have sort of a limited assortment of BE shadows - Peach Puff,
Pebble, Chenille, and the shadows in the Candlelight and Getting
Gorgeous kits. We're on a really tight budget right now, so buying
more makeup is out of the question until I use up some of what I
have. Bummer, I know. I like a natural/neutral pallette in my
makeup, but I wanted to find something that I could use with Pebble
for a shadow for the crease and "V" area. The only thing I have
darker than Pebble is the Soft Focus Glamour (which is more of
a "bronze" shade than Pebble) and Bark liner shadow (but I'm
hesitant to use something THAT dark as anything but liner). Well, I
had an empty jar, so I took little bits of Pebble and Bark and mixed
them together until I came up with a shade that looked good.
Yesterday, I tried it out. I used Chenille all over the lid, up to
the brow area, put Pebble on my lid up to the crease, and then used
my "blend" in the crease and "V." It looked pretty good!
Now, I'm wondering how the Bark alone might work for this. Anyone
used the liner shadows like this?
Thanks,
Fritzie's Mom

Re: Newbie, with troubles

2007-10-30 13:59:46

Thank you V for your insight. I too have thought of most of those
things. Question: How would you know if your foundation is too light
or too dark? It does not make me look pastey nor too dark. Also, my
face does not look dry when I am not wearing BE. Is there an answer
for this? I don't want to give up, but neither do I want my skin to
look paper thin with BE on it.
Thanks for your advice!

It sounds like your foundation is either to light or dark and/or you
aren't waiting for your moisturizer to completely dry or your
moisturizer isn't giving your face enough moisture.

Hi Bliss,
This is what was on the news letter I got on the 7th
of this month.
I ordered the Goddess kit and Well Rested a few weeks
ago, and with the GK on clearance and all the
discounts I only paid $57.00, and received it in 4
days.
That was the first time I'd ordred from them so I have
no complaints.
Hope this helps.

Hi Meri!
I'm new to BE, as well, but got a few samples from a few different
people. Like you, I hate the being madeup feeling. I love the way
it makes my skin looks, too. I do use Smashbox Photo Finish primer.
Our list mom, Lisa, has her own site that is listed in the links
section. She's a great source for samples and sampler kits.
Enjoy!

Okay girls, one quick word of warning. When you are using the JS
Treats Butterscotch Toffee, it goes on dark! Use it sparingly or
you will look like you got caught in an Oklahoma red dirt storm. It
tastes good, but it will leave you looking a little in need of a
bath. So if your SO like toffee, maybe they can be recruited to
take care of the dark spots. *weg*
Okay, I've been trying to get a hold of BE by way of the infomercial
line for a couple of days. I finally give up when all I get is a
busy signal and I call their regular customer service number. I get
transferred to a flippin voice mail box where I have to leave my
name and number and have to wait for someone to call me back. It's
been two days and no one has bothered to call me back. I was told
that a regular consultant could take my call but I wouldn't be able
to get the infomercial deal. So here I sit, still waiting for
someone to call me back so I can get the best deal for my money and
nobody will call me back! GRRRRRR ARRRGGGGHHH! This is not good
custome service...not at all. I just spent 7 years working in
customer service and I would have been fired if I had acted like the
girl who told me that they couldn't do a thing for me other than put
me to voice mail.
I love what few BE products that I have so far and I really wanted
to get the better set with all the basics and the extra goodies, but
now I'm wondering if it's worth the headache just to get the BE
brushes and the compact. No, I really don't want to pay $75 for the
items ala carte, but it's looking like I may have to. *pout*
Any suggestions?

sorts of discounts in the delphi forum but I can't post to the forum

If anyone here gets the medispastore.com newletter and has the

Thanks!

Re: Finally!!!

They offered it to me when I ordered the Infomercial kit, as well as
the foundation/mineral veil replacement club. Even if I don't use
all of the foundation or mv they send, I may be able to go ahead and
sell it on Ebay if I've got more than enough to last me.
So Lisa, when I go to your site, what are the best eye shadow
colours to get samples of? I usually wear plums and nudes. There
are so many to choose from that I don't even know where to start!

An eyeshadow club? Now that sounds like something I'd be interested in!

Finally!!!

2007-10-26 15:36:04

Okay, I was on hold for a BE rep the entire time I was typing away
on this group and a couple of others. I was on hold for nearly half
an hour before I finally get some guy to take my order. I had no
idea there was an eye shadow club, too. I figure that if I don't
like the colours I can always sell the buggers on Ebay.
So I finally have a Flass Coverage kit on the way! Now I want to
order some pretty shadows from Lisa to really get me started. I
have a trip to Washington DC in a month and I want to be the
prettiest girly girl at the gathering. A friend of mine is in a
contest that is made up mainly of gay men and she wanted a friend to
go with her, so of course I'm gonna go! It's DC in the Springtime
and I know it's going to be beautiful! And it should be a lot of
fun anyway. All the girls who are going have organized a pool
party. So I'm gonna scare them all by putting my round, pasty white
self into a swingsuit and showing up with a watergun.
It's turning out to be a pretty good day after all. All I need now
is a great fattoush salad with some gyro meat and the day will
rooooock!
Hugs!

Re: Auto-Delivery?

The Goddess Kit itself can be picked up from a few places, but to
get on auto delivery you had to order in December the day QVC
introduced it. Something funny though, a lady posted on another
board Tuesday, I think it was, that QVC had the autodelivery kit
back up with the special price. We all thought it was a mistake but
I ordered anyways, I have been so regretting that I didnt order in
December, anyhow it shipped yesterday so I got in the club! They
must have had only a few, because an hour or so later it was gone.

I think I might spring for a bottle of Cupcake. After I wore it for

OT: joke

2007-10-20 07:19:48

A guy sticks his head into a barber shop and asks, "How long before I can get a haircut?"

The barber looks around the shop and says, "About 2 hours." The guy leaves.

A few days later the same guy sticks his head in the door and asks, "How long before I can get a haircut?"

The barber looks around at the shop full of customers and says, "About 3 hours."

The guy leaves.

A week later the same guy sticks his head in the shop and asks, "How long before I can get a haircut?"

The barber looks around the shop and says, "About an hour and a half."

The guy leaves.

The barber who is intrigued by this time, looks over at a friend in the shop and says, "Hey, Bill. Follow that guy and see where he goes."

A little while later, Bill comes back into the shop, laughing hysterically. The barber asks, "Bill, where did he go when he left here?"

Bill looks up, & wiping the tears from his eyes and says, "Your house."

shipping anywhere else, so...... I was curious, just what is the
reserve? I put in $30.00 and guess what, I met the reserve, just my
luck, and no one else bid on it, but she didn't list the shipping,
Red Flag!!!, but luckily it was only $6.00, so $36.00 total cost, I
hope I like it:) I know Bliss realy likes it, anyone else tried it?

Amazing grace stuff really smell as good as they say? Is it a nice
clean fragrance? What products do you philosophy users swear by and
use? Thanks,

I guess that even belly buttons need to smell and taste yummy.

I just got back from Walgreens and all I can say is What the H? The
butterscotch toffee powder made my skin look dirty and the
creamsicle just didn't taste like a creamsicle. The cupcake
fragrance isn't too bad but it's more Twinkie than cupcake. I might
get that one, but I'm going to watch one on Ebay first and see how
high it goes. I am thinking about the lipglosses, though. The full
size ones are the same size as my MAC ones and I did like the
colours.
The Treats line just doesn't live up to the Dessert and Taste
lines. I think I'll stick with the Urban Decay body dusts. You may
get more for less with Treats but the quality just doesn't compare.

WOW! Thank you so much for all your hard work and research in explaining this to us! =)

Belly button fragrance?? Ewww! :) thanks, Lisa
V <sweetpuppylove@...

There seems to be a little bit of confusion regarding Jessica's line,
here's a breakdown of everything for those who are a little confused:
(Note: I wrote this a few days ago, but I've been so busy, I only had
time to finish it and send it out now! It's been an uber long day,
time to hit the hay. If there are any mistakes, please point them out
and I'll edit as needed).
Jessica Simpson has three lines of body products:
Dessert - the original line from Jessica, with the slogan "Sexy Girls
have Dessert" was launched with the original flavors: Creamy, Juicy,
and Dreamy, and later Luscious. With the success of the lip glosses,
Slip, Slide, Sunny and Bunny were added to the Dessert line available
only as lip glosses. The flavors of this line are considered
"deliciously kissable" i.e. while they are not food, they have a
food-like taste and smell. This line has products of lip glosses,
fragrance, body and hair mist, whipped body cream, sweet butter,
Powdered Sugar Body Shimmer, Sweet Cheeks Blushing Cream, hot body
topping, bubble baths, belly button fragrance, kissable sugar scrub,
body gloss and body shakes. A break down of each product and flavor
is below.
Taste - released under the Dessert line, "Sexy Girls have Taste"
features the sole flavor Delicious and is only available in three
products, a fragrance, a lip gloss and a body shimmer.
Both Dessert and Taste are avaialble at select finer stores such as
Sephora, Nordstrom, Macy's, QVC, and Ulta. A break down of each
product and flavor is below.
Treats - "Dessert just got Sweeter"...The newest addition to the
Jessica Simpson empire, Treats boasts 8 flavors of sweet goodness:
Banana Split, Bubble Gum, Butterscotch Toffee, Candy, Cotton Candy,
Creamsicle, Cupcake and Lollipop. Treats line of products inclues two
fragrances (in Candy and Cupcake). Treats also consists of body
frosting, hair and body shimmer mist, lip gloss, sugar shimmer and
whipped cream in the other 6 flavors. The price of Treats is
significantly lower of that of Taste and Dessert. Though people have
been calling Treats the 'lower end' on the Dessert line, the quality
appears to be the same. Treats is available at such fine stores as:
Walgreens, Brooks, Eckerd, Sephora, Ulta, Claire's and Longs Drugs. A
break down of each product and flavor is below.

Sephora also gives away free samples occasionally of the Juicy flavor,

Re: To Bliss

Hmmm....now that I could do. I just hate buying without being able
to return it if it doesn't work for me. That was one thing that I
loved when Walgreens finally came to Kansas. As long as it's within
their return policy timeframe, you can bring it back. I bought a
moisturizer that made my face breakout after using it just once and
was able to return it and get my money back.
I grew up in West Texas and we had a Walgreens that was more like a
department store than a drug store. It was two stories and had an
escalator (when you're 4 that's a pretty cool thing!) and a toy
department! Woooohooooo! I moved to Houston and then to Dallas and
loved Eckerds. Then came the move to Kansas. No cool makeup
stores, no Eckerds and no Walgreens. Sigh...we're finally catching
up with the rest of the world.
I haven't ordered anything from QVC. I'm guessing that it's a good
place to order stuff?

My Blinc review....a little late

2007-10-17 02:35:51

So, I'm a little late posting this. I'm finally on the down side of what I call the flu but my doctor said was only an upper respritory infection. JOY! Nothing like laying on the couch for 4 days hacking and wheezing, right?

On one note, I did get an email back from the customer service manager from Blinc about Sunnyflower and her not for resale samples. Not too much they can do. She thanked me for the links and said they patrol ebay every week to catch that sort of thing. She didn't say if she was going to hang and quarter Sunnyflower though. Darn it.

So, I'm LOVING this Blinc. For those that have the straightening problem...have you tried it without curling your lashes first??? I have fairly long eyelashes, so I am told, and I never curl them. I took careful note this morning, though, just for you. I put on the Blinc and voila! My lashes curled up on their own. Very nice. Maybe manipulating the lashes before using it makes the Blinc go the opposite way. Does that make sense? It does in my head. Hubby even notices the days I'm wearing Blinc. My lashes look fuller and darker and more separated. I got soft black Unstoppable, I think I'll try the black too and see if that makes a difference. The Blinc price tag holds me back a bit. I do love the way it comes off though, really cool but sort of creepy...like spider legs creepy. LOL. Anyway, I'm loving it.

Hugs,

Donna

Re: treat v taste

2007-10-16 14:52:34

Cupcake is only available in the fragrance. I wish they had done it
in the other products.
You have it backwards. Taste is the Tahitian Vanilla line. Treats
is the one that Walgreens is carrying. The Taste line can be found
online or at Sephora and Ulta stores. There are a few other
retailers that sell it, as well. I bought the Taste fragrance after
trying samples of Creamy and Juicy and deciding that I liked the
sound of Tahitian vanilla, coconut, white chocolate and apricot all
mixed together. It was a gamble worth taking! It smells and tastes
awesome!
Bliss

treat v taste

2007-10-16 05:15:50

There are two types of flavors, one is called Treat and the other is
Taste, Treat is the yummy sounding one(tahitian vanilla, white
chocolate, coconut and honey all mixed together) and Taste is the
other flavors that Walgreens has, although mine did not have cupcake
or sugar.

Re: taste v treats

2007-10-16 04:49:33

I have a bottle of Taste and it is to die for! I also have testers
of Creamy and Juicy. I like Creamy the best. I have the Body Shake
in Creamy but find it a little too sticky to use if I'm getting
dressed afterward.

I think I would love to try the Taste (white chocolate, honey,
coconut, and tahitian vanila) also the original ones, creamy, dreamy
and juicy sound good. Has anyone tried those?

attn:bubby817 =0)

2007-10-15 09:32:50

That would definitely be a drawback. I hate it when I
don't like the scent of my shampoo or conditioner.
After I put my perfumed lotion on I always run my
hands through my hair.. it seems to last a long time
and it covers the hair product smell... but cigar
smoke.. yikes. I don't think even that could
neutralize it.
It's one thing to smell it in public (which it can
smell good sometimes) but to carry it around with you
all day is another thing. :0)
Thanks for the info!

I bought the restorative hair treatment. I think it is working, but
I have only used a couple times. I hear the longer your have it and
use it the more results you see. The one I can say though is that it
smells SO bad! To me it is almost intorable. It smells like smoker
hair/cigar. It can linger if you dont wash well after. I wash twice
and I am wondering if it affects the results. I would also like to
try the shine serum, but if it smells the same I am not too sure.

I find that I'm not totally happy with the result until I put the
mineral viel on. That to me is just the magic touch that brings it
all together. (Maybe because by the time I put the mineral viel on,
the foundation has had time to warm up?) Do the 1/2 face complete
with foundation, blush, mineral viel, and my favorite, clear radiance
(I am very fair and use it like everyone else uses warmth)and do the
eyes and lips see the full effect. I think you will be pleased. I
love it and will never go back! My daughter uses it and I don't
worry about her looking "Made up" (she's only 12).

Re: Brushes

2007-10-14 07:56:30

I haven't tried BE brushes yet, but I have used brushes made by
Jerome Alexander (loved them but they're hard to find) and my
favourite ones from MAC. I've used brushed from Bath & Body Works
(they're not bad) and ones from Walmart (they could definitely be
better).
The best brushes are gonna cost you, unfortunately. With a brush,
you definitely get what you pay for. My mum used to own a beauty
supply back in the 80's and that was where I got my Jerome Alexander
brushes. I had them for 17 years before they finally gave up the
ghost. I replaced them with MAC brushes. Now those brushes
ROOOOOOCK! Of course, I'm pretty much a MAC girl at heart. I love
so many of their products and wish that I had gotten started using
them when I was younger. I'm fortunate in that we have a great MAC
counter at Dillards and a full Philosophy counter at Von Maur. Now
if we could just a flippin Sephora and a Torrid here, I'd be set
nine ways to Sunday!

I cleanse, moisturise, (then eat breakfast), then use Photofinish.
Did you buy the regular one or the colored one? I've only used the
regular one, which I simply love.

Smashbox Photo Finish Question

Okay girls, I got a little tube of SB Photo Finish yesterday in with
some other goodies but I have a question about how you all are using
it. I also got some of the BE MD cleanser. Are you using a
moisturizer after your cleanser and before the Photo Finish or are
you going straight to the Photo Finish? I want to get the best
surface possible to put those yummy BE minerals on.

I have a sample of the JS Body Sugar that goes with her Taste
fragrance (which I love) and I just didn't like the Body Sugar quite
as well as I liked my Urban Decay body powders. A little on the
powderpuff goes a very long way
Glad you got to try them side by side. I was really hoping that the
Dessert Treat line would be good. Which flavour did you try? The
Butter Toffee and Creamsicle are the ones that sound really good to
me. I do want to give the Cupcake frangrance a try and see if it's
compatible with my UD Cake Dust.
Glittery tasty hugs!

marshmallow test

2007-10-11 20:51:11

She's right a little does go a long way with UD. the marshmallow
was awesome, the sent was not overpowering, not too sweet, just
right. the taste was the same way:)it reminded me of white cotton
candy(not the flavorded cotton candy) and marshmallows toasted all in
one. I went by walgreens, and was actually disapointed with jessica
simpson's line. they seemed way to sweet, almost like sickeningly
sweet candy, and hey, I am addicted to sweet, but i couldn't bring
myself to try the lip gloss. It could just be me, but I have a
feeling I am going to enjoy the UD powders better than the dessert
line.

It has been such an awesome day! I got my goodies from Nancy: some

someone else on Ebay. I'm all set to give it a go tomorrow morning
so I can be all beautimus for Henry when he finishes a photo shoot

I'm still going to do the infomercial kit, if for nothing more than

Re: Amount of Dessert powders coming in the kit . . .

2007-10-10 20:26:10

Okay, I just measured out the full box of Cake that I just got and it
was almost 15 tsps. That includes the little bit that ended up all
over me. I'm now doing my best girl from Goldfinger impersonation.
*grin* But hey, I taste pretty darned good! The teaspoons were
packed to the brim except for the last one and that's the one I
factored in the spillage.
You may not get as much out of the Urban Decay as you do Dessert
Treats, but I can tell you from personal experience that when you
apply this with a good powder puff like the one that came with it, it
lasts for darned near ever. A little bit of this goes a very long
way.
BTW, I now smell like a gigantic pound cake! Henry ought to be ready
for dessert when he gets back from Sonic!

2 teaspoons!!! I got 25 - 2 teaspoon samples out of each jar of the Dessert Beauty body powders. Bliss is getting back with me later tonight to compare the size of these jars to the UD jars, so I will be able to give you an estimate on those later. Thanks, Lisa :)

Dessert Beauty body sprays to match body powders?

2007-10-09 23:33:43

Hey girls! I just got back from Walgreens about an hour ago. The Dessert Beauty line smells soooo good!! I LOVED all of the scents. They have . . .

Creamsicle

Lollipop

Banana Split

Bubble Gum

Cotton Candy

Butterscotch Toffee

Is anyone interested in splitting these with me? You would get 1/2 oz sprayer bottle on each scent for $15 plus $2 for shipping. I can have the body sprays ready to ship by tomorrow morning (or Monday, LOL). So that gives you about a week before the body powder sampler is ready (I'm telling you this for those of us who budget our beauty allowance weekly - like me ;). I'm guessing that I will have the body powders ready to ship by Friday at the latest. Just email me if you are interested. I have enough spray bottles here for 16 orders of all 6 scents and 8 orders of 5 scents. Just let me know. Thanks, Lisa :)

EDIBLE BODY POWDERS UPDATE!!

2007-10-09 02:18:32

Ok Ladies! Here's an update on what's going on . . .

I am up to 20 people on the list of interested. I am going to cap it at 25 people, so there is room for 5 more. I am going to order one of each of the UD body shimmers (that's 9 different flavors) and I'm going to get all 6 of the Jessica Simpson Dessert Beauty line shimmers. So the sample pack will be 15 different scents all together! I'm not doing this for profit, but as a favor so I can't specify amounts yet. I can tell you that I plan to open the full size jar of shimmer, line up 25 small jars in front of it and just keep scooping out equal amouts until the full size jar is all gone. So if a jar is 9oz, we would all get roughly 1/3 of an ounce. Does that make sense? The cost on the 15 scent sampler is going to be at the most $25. Once everything comes in, I can better let you know. I have to factor in the cost of the sample jars too and I'm not sure which size I will need, but it won't be more than $25. Since there are so many orders I will have Stace put
a special button on the site to purchase the kits once they come in, so that everything will be simple. ;)

Alrighty below is the list of the people I've marked down so far. If I missed you please email me or if you've changed your mind, please let me know. Thanks, Lisa :)

counter actually opened some of the items while I was on the phone
with her and said they smell incredible. So I'm gonna see if the

The girl at Walgreens said they had the lip glosses, body dust, hair

2007-10-07 20:17:32

oh, by the way when I was in Ulta today the saleslady told me to stop by Walgreens and they were now carrying a somewhat cheaper line by Jessica Simpson. She said all of the UD powders were absolutely great (her preference and her husband's was the blackberry) but she said the orange creamsicle (Dessert by JS) was out of this world and cheaper... just to let everyone know.....

Re: URBAN DECAY - would you rather . . .

2007-10-07 17:24:12

Even I would interested in the sampler set. I just haven't had the
buckage lately to full-sized boxes of some of the new ones. I know
that I'll eventually get full-sizes of Cherry Lemonade,Caramel and
Gingersnap. If they are half as tastey as Cake, I'm all over it like
white on rice!
It's so awesome to see you girls get this excited. I discovered
these by accident and let me tell you, they have made a major
difference in my alone time with my hubby. He's been on the Atkins
diet for a year now and hasn't been able to have cake. A few
properly placed dustings and he got to have his birthday cake!
These powders do not go on dark unless you layer them on thick. You
just get a beautiful, soft shimmery colour that is yummy.
I just get all goofy and giggly when I have girlfriends to share
makeup stories with. My hubby just doesn't get it and my best friend
here in town is almost the anti-makeup poster child. Me, however,
I'm a girly-girl through and through. Even after surgery, I was so
worried about my skin that I had Henry go home and pack up all of my
skin care so I could moisturize, moisturize, moisturize in the
hospital.
Huge hugs to all you!

Welcome to the group Kim!! Did you want info on the Urban Decay Powders that we are talking about? :) Here's little description off one of the boxes . . .

URBAN DECAY EDIBLE BODY POWDER

Marshmallow is a sweet, lick-able, body shimmer powder that leaves your skin glowing with a glittering, silvery sheen that smells and tastes just like its sweet namesake. Simply buff onto arms, legs, shoulders, and décolleté with the sexy leopard puff.

A lot of us were interested in trying these, but they are $25 a jar so I decided to do a group buy where we all split the jars. :) If you want in, just let me know. Thanks, Lisa =)

2007-10-05 07:51:29

Hey girls! I'm sorry I pretty much missed this conversation completely! My daughter and I both got sick and I've just been on the computer to fill orders. :) Anyways I want some Body Powders!!!! I have an idea. I'm going to put a list up of all the scents and if anyone is interested in doing a "group buy" for that scent, please email me. We can split the jars of body powder. The more people on a scent the cheaper it will be! What do you all think? I have plenty of jars here that I can use to divide the scents up. First we'll do a preliminary list, then we can see how many are interested. Then once you see how cheap that scent would be if everyone follows through you can give me a definite answer. Does that make sense? Anyways . . . here are the scents I found . . . Email me if you might be interested in splitting a scent. Thanks, Lisa :)

OK, i broke down last night and bought the eye primer and some
marshmallow body powder. I really wanted chocolate, but I'm so pale
I didn't think the brown was a good choice. My ex is getting our

I bought the marshmallow body powder last night also LOL. I put in a
big order from Sephora. The body powder, Philosophy 3in1 Berry Crumb
Pie, Stila Lip Glaze Lemongrass, DuWop Lip Venom Lite, and got a
sample of Stila Lip Glaze in Watermelon. More than I should have
spent, but there comes a point where it is just smarter to hit the
$75 mark and have free shipping :)

Re: PETA and BE

2007-10-04 18:06:36

Many companies do not wish to align themselves with groups like PETA
for very good reasons. While I do not condone testing beauty
products on animals, I will never support a group like PETA or
boycott a company because they are not on PETAs good side.
Bliss

PETA and BE

2007-10-04 11:23:13

Since I was in junior high, I've always been very big on animal
rights. I sent a petition around my junior high school, and together
my friends and I collected almost 2,000 signatures to protest the use
of animal testing by health and beauty companies, namely at the time,
Gillette.
I've always been an avid supporter of PETA and even went veggie at the
age of 13 (and have been ever since). I strongly believe that animals
were on this Earth before us and we should respect that, in all forms,
whether that be a mouse, dog, cat, bird, rabbit, guinea pig, or
monkey. I'm a serious animal lover and I've had all kinds of pets
ranging from newborn mice, rabbits, guinea pigs to various types of
fish, cats, and dogs. I see every animal that is tested on as
someones potential pet, as these animals are often run aways, strays
and other former pets that were either lost, unwanted, or couldn't be
cared for properly and were given up for adoption and it just breaks
my heart that these animals suffer so we can look good. (I'm
specifically talking about testing for cosmetics, and beauty aids,
such as shampoo, makeup, razors, ect...)
My local humane society has a no-kill, all animals adopted policy, and
if you ever have to give up a pet for adoption, I strongly urge you to
check on the shelter's policy before handing over your pets policy to
be sure they don't sell your pet to a lab for testing if it not
adopted.
Anyway, my whole point is I was reading some literature PETA sent me
last night about compa
