Re: How long does it take

2007-06-30 01:44:07

I ordered from BE last summer and it did take 3-4 weeks. It was hard
to stay patient. I have heard though some people have gotten theirs
within two weeks. Hope you enjoy it. Be warned though they sign you
up for a club, at least they did for me, and they charged me $50 for
a few things and shipped it to me. It took me by surprise,
expecially during Christmas... I need to cancel that.

How long does it take

2007-06-29 19:11:34

Hi all,
I was wondering, how long does it usually take to get an order from
BE (I know it said on the site about 3-4 weeks)? I also had order
questions that I e-mailed to them and I have yet to hear back. I am
wondering if it was the holidays and the inclimate weather that is
causing the delay in response.
I should be getting the Goddess kit that I bought off e-bay either
today or Tuesday...I cannot wait.
I hope that everyone had a Happy New Year!!!!

2007-06-28 19:15:59

Hi everyone! I just wanted to let you know that I will be out of the office on Friday, Dec 31 and Saturday, Jan 1. We are closing on our new home and we have a lot to take care of before we start moving in. No orders will be shipped either day. I hope this doesn't inconvenience anyone. If you already placed an order and this causes you to not get it in time, just email me and I will upgrade your shipping to Priority 2-3 shipping for free. I will briefly check my email at night, but probably won't respond until at least Sunday or Monday. Thanks so much for your patience and understanding! Have a HAPPY NEW YEARS! Be Safe!! Thanks, Lisa :)

I'm New to Bare Minerals

2007-06-28 05:29:27

Hi all,
I am new to this group and to Bare Minerals. I saw the infomercial
yesterday and saw a deal too good to pass up...so I went online and
purchased the "basic" kit with the DVD. I also am purchasing the
Goddess kit off of Ebay.....I am excited and anxious at the same
time. I normally don't wear makeup unless it is for a special
occasion or a performance for Sweet Adelines. I am however, trying to
make it a habit when I go off to work so I don't look so "pale" and I
look more "professional" (I am a receptionist...trying to go craft
designer).
Anyhow, I look forward into learning lots from this group and can't
wait to meet all of you!
Happy Holidays,

Hi Lisa,
I meant to tell you this earlier, but I tried the
Bis-Free foundations and I love them!
I ordered both Neutral 1 and Cool 1.
I'm REALLY fair skinned and I can actually get away
with wearing both of them. :0) I'm loving that! And I
think you're right, I think they do cover a more than
BE does. (I've got some beautiful blemishes to
practice on right now. sigh)
I also tried both the Shimmer and Matte finishing
powder and those are great as well. I think I like the
shimmer most, it's really pretty.
I'll be ordering full-sizes after the holidays. :0)
Have a great day!!

I have been reading about a VERY simple skin care regime.

All you use is cold processed castor oil and olive oil...that is it!

It has been working very well for alot of oil/combo skinned ladies.

Let me know if you want the link to read more about it.

Re: Hi, I'm new to this board but not new to BE!

2007-06-26 18:03:42

Thanks for the information, Lisa. I think I understand what you're
talking about with the "V," but it would help if I could see someone
doing their makeup and really show me. For years, I'd been doing my
makeup the way I learned how to do it as a teenager in the early
70's.
I was wondering if you might possibly recommend an eyeshadow shade I
might use for the "V." I have greying brunette hair (and have no
intention whatsoever to color it!) and brown eyes. I've been using
Chenille some as a highlight color. Today I used the Soft Focus
Pure as a highlight color and Pebble on my lid. I tried the Soft
Focus Glamour in the "V" because it's slightly darker than the
Pebble. However, the Pebble seems to be taupe while the Glamour is
more of a cinnamon color. It didn't look quite the way I wanted it
to. I have Bark liner shadow and thought about using that as a
shadow, but I was afraid I'd wind up looking like a racoon. I like
wearing the neutrals most of the time - I prefer a more natural look
in my makeup. What color would you recommend?
Thanks again,
Estelle

Re: [naturallyflawless] Splendid Blends?...and questions for Lisa

2007-06-26 03:46:01

Hey Donna! Oh no, that's too bad about your mom's sensitivities to BE. =( It sounds like it may be the Bismuth if she is experiencing the itching and bump breakouts. Most people say the Bismuth causes itching, but it does cause other irritations in different people. Some people actually report getting severely dry skin from the Bismuth content. I think it just really depends on the person and their individual reaction to BE. Know what I mean? She should give the bismuth-free colors a try at least. Did you have her try any of your bismuth-free shadows? If those don't cause any itching (like the BE ones did) then it probably was the Bismuth. Keep me posted on what's going on. :)

I have tried numerous Splendid Blends products. Everything in their line is great if you don't have EXTREMELY sensitive skin like your mom. =) I have given their products away to family and friends and everyone raves about it. Before you make a run to Sephora let me dig through my stash when I get home tomorrow. I know I have some bottles of Splendid Blends that have been just slightly used (2 or 3 times max) and some unopened bottles of MD Formulations. I'll get back with you tomorrow early evening. OK? Talk to you soon!!! Lisa :)
Donna Conner <angel91805@...

Hi! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We sure did. My son was thrilled to get a white Christmas this year. Snow in El Paso is not a normal thing!

I gave my Mom the Goddess Kit I had ordered, and she was thrilled. THEN she tells me that the BE broke out her nose! Now, my Mom has really sensitive skin, and if anything irritates her, her nose breaks out into red bumps. So, she's been using the foundation (fairly light 1.2) and mineral veil everywhere BUT her nose and just uses her old powder on her nose. So, I'm thinking that isn't soo bad then, nothing for the nose in the Goddess Kit (so she can dodge the nose with the Gossomer!). THEN she tells me she stopped using the eyeshadow too because it seems that they itch and it makes her eyes water. But she hasn't narrowed it down to the eyeshadow. FANTASTIC...and there are 3 eye thingys in the Goddess kit. JOY! LOL. Lisa, could that be the bismuth? I know everyone mentions itchiness...but break outs too? Anyway, I gave her your website address and told her to check out the bismuth-free stuff and to get some samples. Of course, hehehe....my mom has problems with
the internet, so I may just order them for her!

Anywho...the point of this email...has anyone tried the Splendid Blends line? I am so fed up with my Philosophy right now, that I am ready to switch here and now. Just wondering what everyone thought if you tried them. Otherwise, I'm going to the BE store and getting md Formulations. I have to stop the insanity of my skin right now! LOL.

Hugs,

Donna

Re: Splendid Blends?...and questions for Lisa

Lisa, you truly do rock! I haven't got any bismuth free shadows for
mom to try, but I was going to order some today! I need a few
things so I'll just add a few samples for her to my order later on
today. On the Splendid blends, I have received a lovely email from
Bill there about what to try, and their prices are so reasonable.
But I just don't know what will be best for my skin, you know? I
love some of the Burt's Bees natural products but the skin care was
so so...though I love their garden tomato toner! So go figure.
I'll place the order later today...now I have to jet for work or I
will be late!
Hugs,
Donna

Re: [naturallyflawless] Hi, I'm new to this board but not new to BE!

2007-06-24 09:38:43

Hi Estelle!! Welcome to the group and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! We are so glad to have you! 1st off . . . 50 isn't old!!!! You said 50 like you were 110, LOL. 50 isn't old at all!!! Just wanted to let you know, LOL. The new bismuth-free line isn't made by Bare Escentuals. It's a private label line that I am carrying to give us more color choices and to give the BE girls that get the itchies from BE a bismuth-free line to us (the bismuth in BE causes those itchies, so no bismuth means more itchies! ;). The "V" is the area from the edge of your upper eye lid to the middle of your upper eye lid. If you took a marker and traced along the crease of your eye starting at the middle (just above the pupil) out to the edge (following the crease) and came back in towards your eye tracing along the edge of your lid (where your lashes are) you would make a perfect V hence the V-term. =) Does that make any sense? I am terrible at explaining things, so if this didn't help please let
me know. Again we are glad to have you! I look forward to getting to know you and chatting a lot! Thanks, Lisa :)
fritzies_mom <fritzies_mom@...

Hello, everyone! My name is Estelle. I've been using BE for about
2 years now, off and on. I started out with a kit containing 2.3
foundation, Warmth, and Mineral Veil. When I was about to fun out
of foundation, I bought medium, thinking it was the same color.
It's not quite right on me - too pink. I think I really need a more
neutral tone, so I've been mixing the 3.0 with some of the 2.3 I had
left. I also have Glee and several neutral eyeshadows - Chenille,
Peach Puff, Pebble, the Candlelight kit, and the Getting Gorgeous
kit.
I have a couple of questions that I hope someone can answer for me.
1. Are the new bismuth-free products part of the BE line? Or is
that some other brand? I couldn't find any information that tells
me for sure.
2. With regard to putting on eyeshadow, where the heck is
the "V"???? Girls, I'm a 50-year-old "geezerette," and I'm not
familiar with these new-fangled terms! LOL!
Thanks in advance for your help,
Estelle

LOL!
Thanks in advance for your help,
Estelle

Hi, I'm new to the group but have been using BE for a long time. I'm
in my 50's and just love it. I am wondering what is the Bismuth free
makeup. Is it BE or is it another brand? Thanks for any info. Holly

Re: [naturallyflawless] [Half and Half OT] Philosophy!

Hi Victoria! WOW! You have quite a collection going now. That was smart to buy the small bottles of everything instead of the large ones. That way if you don't like a scent you don't have 16oz of it. :) Talk to you soon! Lisa
foreverwishingonstars <victoriasueno@...

Hi girls,
I just thought I'd drop in for a hello. I've been SUPER busy with the holidays
coming. I did manage to stop off at Sephora the other day, and you'll NEVER
guess what I got.
After getting a bunch of samples from Lisa of various Philosophy products,
and buying four bottles of the Unforgettable shampoo, I decided it was time to
try the various scents of Philosophy's 3 in 1's. Of course, I had to do this in an
outstanding fashion, since I WANTED to try all of them at once! I just couldn't
decide where to start! I had a large wad of cash from selling my books back to
my University, so I went a little insane. Here's what I bought:
Cookbooks: Hot Toddies, Best Sellers, and Chocolate Lovers
Surprise Party and Cocktail Party
State of Grace
These sets contain the following:
Amazing Grace -6oz
Baby Grace -6oz
Café Au Lait -two 6oz
Chocolate Cream Coffee -6oz
Cinnamon Buns -6oz
Coconut Cream Pie -6oz
Double Rich Hot Cocoa -6oz
Melon Daiquiri -6oz
Old Fashioned Egg Nog -6oz
Pina Colada -6oz
Pumpkin Pie -6oz
Pure Grace -6oz
Raspberry Sorbet -6oz
Senorita Margarita -6oz
Spiced Apple Cider -6oz
Strawberry Milkshake -6oz
White Chocolate Hazelnut -6oz
Plus I still have the four Unforgetable bottles, 16 oz Amazing Grace gel, and
Amazing Grace Conditioner, 4oz Gingerbread Man Gel, Gingerbread Man
Salt Scrub, Gingerbread Man Souffle.
Now that I have over 100 BE eye colors (thank to Lisa and her website and
my ability to impulse buy), I'm starting in on owning at least one of every
Philosophy scent. I currently have 19 scents, and 14 to go! I'm on my way!
Oh, while at Sephora, I also picked up a BE concealer brush for my mom and
Dessert Beauty's Sunny, Bunny and Delicious lip glosses...now I have ALL of
the lip glosses!
Aloha,
Victoria

Re: [naturallyflawless] Bismuth Free

2007-06-20 06:01:14

Hey Lori! You'll have to come by so we can test the colors, but I am pretty sure that #2 Cool is the match to #3 Medium. :) Yep, the new foundation gives more coverage so you may not have to use the Bisque. One less step, wouldn't that be great!! Just let me know if you want to come by. Thanks, Lisa
Lori Taylor <elkayetaylor@...

Lisa,
I don't know if this has been posted already but....here goes. I am
looking for your suggestion on foundation color (bismuth free) for me,
I am currently using the BE #3 medium which is perfect. I also am
using bisque as a concealer for my terrible rosacea. Do I understand
correctly that the Bismuth Free is a little heavier coverage and I
will not need bisque anymore? I am almost out of it and don't want to
get more if I switch to the bismuth free line. Thanks!

Megan, I'm rather new to BE, but have always had good luck with e-
bay. I just make sure the person I'm buying has a 99% positive
rating. I'm not sure how much this original kit cost, so don't know
if these e-bay prices are reasonable or not. Hope you find your kit
soon. Happy holidays...to one and all!! :o)

Re: [naturallyflawless] New here, Why am I so shinny?

2007-06-19 04:52:19

Are you applying your minerals too soon after moisturizing? Sometimes if you don't let your moisturizer sit and soak in to your skin for 15 minutes, you'll get a shiney/oily look. Try letting your moisturizer set. Have you tried using a primer with it? The next thing could be you are using way too much. It's pretty much the number one mistake newbies do is that they use WAY more than they need. You should be applying it in layers. Start out with an amount you think would be soo small it would never cover anything (think the size of a sunflower seed without the shell) and work your way from there. Are you using an all over face color with shimmer, like clear radiance or gossamer?
Jade

Hi! I just got my sample kit the other day. I applied it this
morning.I don't like the look and I'm very surprised. The
informercial and their DVD shows the models looking so good as they
apply but not on me. I have this shine, mostly on my cheeks. It is
a fake look to me, and my pores are showing like never before. What
am I doing wrong? Truly it is such a yuck look, I will wash it off
before heading out the door to run errands,Darn. I look forward to
hear some advice.

Sorry I didn't answer this yesterday. I had a busy day. :) Who doesn't right? LOL. Anyways, you need to check out this page (you are missing out on all kinds of goodies, LOL)

http://www.naturallyflawless.com/naturally_flawless_specials.htm

The Gossamer is in the Goddess Collection. It's the jar to the all the way right side. It's a very pretty glittery gold. I use it under my foundation and it just gives your skin this pretty radiance. I love it! :) I also LOVE Compassion blush!

The Blendables are right under the Goddess Collection. All three are very pretty colors if you like greens. Buying them together like that also makes it easy to do a no-brainer eye look. :) You don't have to think which color goes with what b/c you have the three picked for you. If you have any other questions at all, just ask. Thanks, Lisa

OK so I am going to our church's ladies Christmas party tonight.

I wanna look BEautiful.

I am going to wear my nice black pants and a mock turtle neck sweater. It has that glittery thread in it,really pretty.

It is striped (crossways). It is red, black and white. It's real pretty and festive!

So what colors should I wear with it?

I know gossamer is in there.Should I wear the goddess collection colors or the blendables or what?

I am a 1.2 warm.Brown hair and green eyes.

I have lots of samples and stuff.

I took 2 of the boys to the denstist this morning.I put well rested (wet) on my whole eye and then wetlined top and bottom with mermaid. It was really pretty.

Well, then I was putting on my clear radiance (yep dh found it for me..yipee) and thought,hmm...think I'll foil just a tad of this onnmy lower lid.I did and it looked pretty! I am liking mermaid real well.

Thanks for any input!!

Bismuth-free shades to BE's shades (foundation)

2007-06-16 17:40:01

Ok, once a person from each shade range of BE has tried the new line and we figure out all of the color comparisons I will put a chart of the website, but for now I am going to post the comparisons as we find them in a folder on our group. Here is the link . . .

How can I apply the makeup with out getting a brush, should I just
get a less expensive one from somewhere like walmart to try the
makeup out for the first few times? I love how everyone's skin looks
so smooth in the makeup in the pictures I have seen. I have no
brushes right now..lol, just the little cheap ones that comes in the
blush.
Thanks

Re: [naturallyflawless] makeup organizer/foundation and et.al

2007-06-16 07:37:00

Hi Karen! What a great informative post! Thanks for posting this! That's too funny that you just switched your vanity top to a rubbermaid drawer system. I have the same vanity system with no drawers and I switched my daily used things to the same type of drawer container. And I always dump my tiny samples into the sifter jars. It's so much easier. I always have way too many of those sifter jars, so don't ever feel like you are buying too many, LOL. Thanks for explaining your system for the Laura Greiner organizer. :) You should post a picture of your system. I'm sure there are a lot of people out there wondering what a better system would be. It took me a while to find one that works for me. Great idea on the foudation! I need a few #3's to try out the new line, but from just looking at the colors I'm thinking that #2 Cool in the bismuth-free may be the match to #3 Medium. And I love the shimmer finishing powder. You could still do a similar mix with the new
foundation too. You could keep using Warmth or if you want to go all bismuth-free you could pick up a sample of Bronze Kiss to mix in the foundation. I'm so glad you are loving your Goddess kit! I had a hard time with the eye colors too, but I LOVE the Compassion blush and the Gossamer! Sounds like you picked lots of goodies on QVC lately. ;) What a fun Christmas! Be sure to post a before/after shot when you get your new toy. Too funny about the girls at work. They were probably sooo shocked! :) Thanks, Lisa

Hi Everyone!

I have the Lori Greiner organizer! I love it..... here is what I did this weekend. Although I absolutely love it, I found that I was always trying to find things.... so I ordered the empty bisque containers from Lisa (THANK YOU LISA!!!) then I put all of my BE I use regularly that did not have a sifter top...or in the case of the Goddess collection, I put my compassion blush and also the gossamer in them for ease of use. Then I made labels for the tops of all the jars. At Walmart they had a rubbermaid 3 drawer container ($4.97), and on the top of it there is a flip up storage area and a cubby hole area perfect from brushes, lip glosses etc. So in the BIG make up organizer I have the extra foundation, the cases to my BE compacts and half empty BE jars etc on the bottom that is hid. I use the lipstick area for lipsticks of course, also my cotton swabs-fingernail clippers and tweezers etc. I have extra brushes, lip liners I don't use that often etc in the cubbys
toward the back. My moisturizers and perfume in the front tall space and my eye creams etc on the other top section. So I only have to open it up if I want to get things out of "storage" everything I use is on top. In the Rubbermaid container, I put them in the drawers according to what they are...face/eyes/ liner. My brushes and lip color fits perfectly in the top area... so I can grab them easily. If you all would like a picture of it.. I can take one. Anyway...this works perfectly for me...especially because the home I live in now has NO drawers in the bathroom...how can a vanity have no drawers <grin

Okay enough on my organization system!

Foundation. I have found that if I use a # 3...that is perfect for me - however I feel kinda ho-hum...so I bought warmth and I add about 3/4 # 3 and 1/4 warmth and it gives it a "Pick me up!" feel. I mix them into one of the compacts so when I travel its a done deal and easy to pick up and go! Lisa, saw the new Bismuth free foundations on your webpage - how would I decide what shade? I was going to order some..but then decided I should ask first. Also...love the firefly liner! thank you!!!

OKAY... I love the new big flat ended brush that was in the Goddess set. Do you know where we can buy more? I would love to have one exclusively for foundation and one for blush and then one for the gossamer. I have had my Goddess set for a month now...and really love it. I am not crazy about all the eye colors, but have experimented with them and they are getting better - it takes awhile!! I absolutely love the eye liner brush. I was one who bought the new liner brush/retro-liner when it came out and raved about it...but now.. I tried the liner brush in the Goddess kit..and am in love all over again! Dang.. I always swore I would not be a girly-girl...and here I am gushing over make up! <grin

I ordered the Fugi 4 meg. pixel camera from QVC so am going to take a before and after shot and post it - I already have a 4 meg camera...but it's bigger and bulker and I thought I needed something new sheesh... dang qvc.. I am glad their last few days of TSV have been boring or I would be in trouble! <grin

Funny, but the girls at work were looking at an Estee Lauder catalog and the "free gift" that was worth over $200 with a $ 45 purchase...and they asked me if I wanted to go along to get one with them after work... I said no..they couldn't believe it...(yes the gift looked nice...) but why would I want to spend $ 45 on stuff I won't use...love my BE.

Well enough for now!

Karen

Here's what I got in my order:
Light foundation 1.3 & 2.0
Summer Bisque
Mineral Veil
Warmth all over face color
true all over face color
glee all over face color
empty sifter jar
My aunt is a hair dresser, so I'm sure she could get me some nice
brushes if it's ok to use those.
Thanks for any help!!

I said no..they couldn't believe it...(yes the gift looked nice...) but why would I want to spend $ 45 on stuff I won't use...love my BE.

Well enough for now!

Karen

Good morning!
hehehe! I set my clock, had my phone & note pad on the bed, large
pot of coffee ready (ok, and a few snacks, lol) and was glued to the
set for 2 hours (went by pretty dern quickly too , bummer)had the
house totally to myself & put the phone on "answering machine
mode..." so I wouldn't be interrupted.
I ordered the goddess kit on auto-ship and the set of lip glosses!
Im so excited, they're supposed to be delivered by dec 20 or so, so
I can be a goddess, just in time for Christmas!! and the best part
about it is my husb. is paying for it all, LOL! If I'd have known
that, I'd have bought more...hum...:)

Where to purchase Getting Georgeous kit

2007-06-13 15:16:05

I just joined the group today. (Just ordered my first BE kit on line
from BE and ordered the TSV from the Q yesterday.) Reading through
the messages and read that someone (sorry, forgot your name) was
looking for the Getting Georgeous kit. There are several sets up on
e-bay. I'm not affiliated with any of the sellers, so please check
ratings before bidding.

Re: [naturallyflawless] WOnder if med beige would work better for me?

2007-06-13 09:01:46

Hi Jenn! If you aren't getting enough coverage out of the #1.2 or #2, you could definitely try going up to #2.3. What might work even better is if you do a custom mix of Summer Bisque and #2.3. That will make the foundation more opaque (covering more) and lighten up the color, so it's not too dark for you. This may be the perfect combo for you. You'll have to try it! Thanks, Lisa :)
Jennifer Asher <jasher8@...

I have been using 1.2

I used a bit out oif a sample of 2 and it worked good too but still not covering the color in my cheeks.

I don't know,maybe I should try a sample of med beige too!

I have dark brown hair w/red (natural),green eyes, tan pretty easy. The warms colors (except peach...ugh) look good on me but then I can wear pinks in lip colors.I cannot wear peach on my lips,it just looks crappy on me.

What do you all think?

Thanks SO much.

Hi Jenn! I love True! It's a great shimmery pink shade. It's sort of like the Gossomer in the goddess kit, only light pink. I actually have a 1/2 True 1/2 Clear Radiance mix that I wear under my foundation a lot. Love it! :) Thanks, Lisa

I need some summer bisque but will probably just get a smaller sized one from Lisa.

Aaaah, that's so great to hear about the pic! I'm so glad that you found this makeup and are loving it so much!! It truly does make a difference in our looks I think. I'm thinking that #2 Cool in the new foundation may be the match to #3 Medium. I'll be able to give a more definite answer once people start trying it and reporting back. :) By looking at the colors in the jars, that's my guess though. Great idea for the Well Rested. I'll have to try that. Thanks for the great tip! Talk to you soon! Lisa :)
Stephanie <dezmosgirl@...

I read all your posts everyday, but don't write much, I am making up
for it today!
First off, have any of you used Well Rested before you pluck your
eyebrows? I gob some on my brow and it helps the tweezers grip and
I can see and get thoses tiny annoying hairs.
Next, Lisa, how do we determine our foundation color for your new
line? The colors look so different and I couldn't make a comparison
with #3 BE, which I really love.
Only one more thing! We just got our pictures from the day after
Thanksgiving Parade in Portland. We got up and went at 6:30m in the
morning! It was FREEZING! I got up and got dressed and just put a
knit cap on (didn't even comb my hair!) but swooshed on some Warmth
and Clear Radiance. Anyway, I am holding our 1 year old (foster)
baby on my lap and my skin looks as good as hers in the pictures! I
was greatly encouraged! I looked like a dork with GREAT SKIN! Even
with a turkey hangover...

Wow Jade!!

I wish I would've seen the pearl collection the bag...errr.....

I got the summer bisque/brush set,a foundation set in med beige to see if it works for me (of course it is waitlisted!)

and the paint by numbers kit.

I think that one was totally too expensive but dummy me got it anyway.I figured I could send it back if I wanted to!

To me the colors alot like the goddess kit colors.

I REALLY wanted that expandable bag! I should've gotten that instead.

Holy Makeup Batman!

2007-06-11 12:15:57

Boy am I in *trouble*. I just spent WAY too much money on BE. I had already bought the Goddess TSV. But somehow I ended up getting the travel bag that had the pearl collection and brush in it, the five piece best face collection, the color by number collection, the queen for a day collection, the three piece color collection in Dusk, and the bisque with the brush. I had ordered the skin rev-er upper but I had to cancel it because my order was too much and that was the one thing I could part with. hehehe. But I guess when I collect something, I do it right, right?

Re: what all have you girls bought today?!!!

Jenn, I LOVE Warmth, but I don't like True. True is a really
beautiful color, but I don't like it on me. After watching the show
on QVC today, I decided to try again. I "Trued" up my eyes, lips
and face. It is pretty, but I didn't like it. I added some Glee to
my cheeks and I felt much better.
You may like it! If you want my sample, send me your address! I
would be curious to know how you like it. I am a Clear Radiance

A Little BE Story

2007-06-09 18:27:52

Hello. I just wanted to share about my husbo spreading the word
about BE! He is a reporter, and had to cover an awful story
yesterday (a little girl in foster care malnourished and abused)and
was doing an interview with the bio-mother of the little girl. She
complained to my husband about her zits and moles looking gross on
TV (this story was EVERYWHERE) so my husband told her she needed
Bare Minerals!! She didn't know about it, so my husband gave her
one of our "safe" email addresses so I can hook her up! I thought
that was pretty good!
Some of you know, my husbo and I are foster parents, so this was a
story close to home for us. The incident occurred in Portland,
Oregon, where my husband works. We live just across the river in
Vancouver, Washington. The system here is fab, but very messed up
in Oregon. Foster care and good foster parents are a vital part of
the integrity of our society these days. I just want to encourage
any of you that can, get involved! Even if it is just to get
licensed to give a full time foster parent a respite break on a
weekend.
Done with my soap box!! Just thought it was so cute that my DH
tells people about our BEautiful skin!

Re: [naturallyflawless] Question from a BE newbie!!!

Hi Carol! That would be very pretty! You could probably pull off Sugar Plum liner with it too. If you wanted you could mix a little Sugar Plum liner and a smidge of Envy for your liner. You'd come out with a purple w/green flecks, very pretty!! Are you wet lining your liner too? Either way that look will be super sexy! ;) Thanks, Lisa :)

I am going to a holiday party tomorrow night and want to try foiling

shadow and ice blue glimmer...I think it is 2000? This is just too
much fun!!!

new Newsletter . . .

2007-06-07 02:49:30

Hi everyone! We have lots of news today . . . .

Need a last minute gift . . we now have Gift Certificates available! They are available in $10, $25, and $50 increments. You can find them at the bottom of this page . . . .
http://www.naturallyflawless.com/index.htm

ALSO there is one lonesome Christmas Tin left. These were a big hit and sold out before I could even get them on the site. They really turned out wonderful and got rave reviews. They are $30 w/$2.50 PRIORITY shipping and contain 14 items. Just email me for a list of contents. :)

The website has a new look. :) There are now three easy to find buttons on the main menu bar: face, eyes, and blush. Take a peak at the new look by clicking on either Face or Blush. This should make things easier to find and a lot easier to shop for colors. The Eyes face will be switched over to the new look very soon! If you have trouble finding anything please email me.

The Bismuth-free foundations are in! For anyone who doesn't know why we have a Bismuth-free line along with Bare Minerals. . .it's b/c some are allergic to the Bismuth in BE. If you are allergic, you would get an itchy or hot sensation whenever wearing your BE. Even if you are not allergic to Bismuth, this line may be for you anyways. It is a concealer and foundation in one. It gives more coverage than BE and has a simpler application method. You can take a peak at the colors on this page . . . .
http://www.naturallyflawless.com/naturally_flawless__BEBFface.htm

New brushes! This is exciting! We have a new kabuki for just $1 more than the old one. It's so NICE! It's super soft and really just makes your minerals go on effortlessly! It's really a great brush! It's made of all natural silky soft badger hair (one of the best materials you can buy). We also have two new brush sets. They both are at the very bottom of the page. The higher priced one is made of badger hair (like the new kabuki) and the second set is made of sable hair. Sable hair is just a step below badger and is equally as nice. Both sets have really great brushes in them. Take a peak at all the new brushes here . . . (also some of the brushes prices were discounted b/c they are being discountinued)
http://www.naturallyflawless.com/naturally_flawless_brushes__sponges.htm

SPECIALS . . . .

The 3 piece Blendables are now available! You can find them on the Specials page . . .
http://www.naturallyflawless.com/naturally_flawless_specials.htm

Also we are having a BISMUTH-FREE SAMPLE SALE! You can pick up 4 samples for $9 or 7 samples for $15. That includes any of the bismuth-free products (foundation, finishing powder, blushes, eye colors, liners, etc). It's really a great deal, don't miss it!! It's at the very bottom of this page . . .
http://www.naturallyflawless.com/naturally_flawless_specials.htm

Don't forget about the BE show on QVC this Saturday, December 11. I'll be watching to grab any new colors for the site. :) Here are the show times (if you don't have QVC, you can watch from your computer) . . .

Re: [naturallyflawless] foiling??.

2007-06-06 10:22:02

Hi Bev. :0)

Foiling when you add a little water or a drop of Murine in the lid of the shadow pot and then make a "paste" of the shadow.

You paint it on, and when it dries it's really pretty.(The colors are really intense when you do it this way.)

After it's dried I usually go back over with a dry brush and soften the lines.

I bought the generic eye drops and it works great. When I used tap water I always added too much.. with the dropper you get just about the right amount.

Hope this helped.

Have a great day!
