Re: Hey Girls!

2007-03-31 06:52:47

I am SO jealous that you have a Sephora nearby. I we dont have one
in Oregon. I dont think that there even is a retailer that sells BE.
I would love to get to go and play with stuff! I love the smell of
Creamy by the way!!! I tried the perfum, but it was kinda tacky on
the skin, so I returned it. I want to try I think that it is called
Taste, but I would have to buy it from QVC then return it. Too much
of a hassle!

Re: Finding the right eyeshadow, foundation, and bisque for my color. I hope you can help!

2007-03-31 05:40:07

Lisa,
Thank you! Well, I have the concealor brush. I do need more coverage
for my scars. But, I have wrinkles and large pours that show through.
What can I do for that. I don't have any rose colors of BE. Just coca
bean, several of the blues family, and dove, graphite (liner), fog.
So, I more likely like to get the right roses and brown shades. I
also do not have the foundation brush you were talking about. Thank
you again.

Hey Girls!

2007-03-31 00:37:52

Hi everyone!
I just got home from another shopping trip to Sephora. Picked up:
Philosophy Gingerbread Man Salt Scrub (bought the sample from Lisa, I
LOVE IT! I've found my new husband!)
Desert Pillow Talk (Six Deliciously Smoochable Lip Plumping Lip Gloss
Favorites in Creamy, Juicy, Dreamy, Lucsious, Slip and Slide)
A second tube of Buzz (first one was for my purse, this one's to keep at work!)
An Eyeshadow sized Bisque
Downtown Eyeliner
I also picked up sample sizes of Curious and Delicious perfume! Curious is
surprisingly good, I may have to go back and buy one later!
Aloha,
Victoria

Re: [naturallyflawless] Liners?

2007-03-30 21:36:14

Hi Jenn! ABSOLUTELY!! You can use anything in this entire line as anything! I use some of my liners as accent colors, some of my glimmers as liners, some of my blushes for lip glosses, and so on . . . . . Everything is very versatile! Have FUN playing! Let me know if you have any other questions! Thanks, Lisa =)

Re: [naturallyflawless] Finding the right eyeshadow, foundation, and bisque for my color. I hope you can help!

2007-03-29 17:21:49

Hi Claudia! You've come to the right place! We can help you! Ok, you have cool undertones meaning pink when it comes to Bare Minerals. =) I'm guessing if you can get as dark as #4.53 Tan in the summer that you would need #3 Medium in the winter. Is the #3 Medium too light or too dark for your skin? Or have you just not tried it yet?

Ok, let's do this in steps so it's easier . . . .

For concealer, you need the regular Bisque that you have. Do you have any of the brushes? The best brush to use for your scarring is the Concealer Brush. If you don't have this brush, try a small 'tight bristled' eye shadow brush. If you have neither and you are going to purchase more products, you can pick up a Concealer Brush on my website for $10. The Concealer Brushes are the best to use b/c they pick up more product and make the Bisque go on more concentrated.

Ok, now to foundation. #3 Medium might be the perfect shade for you (probably is if you have definite pink undertones). Try it and let me know how it goes (if it's perfect, too dark, too light, too pink, etc). That way we can figure out the exact color for your skin. The kabuki brush is the best brush to use for foundation. It covers a larger area that a regular powder brush and allows you to apply your makeup much faster and in my opinion it gives better coverage. If this application technique with the Bisque and Foundation is not enough coverage, you can try the flocked sponge. We'll cross that bridge if it comes though. I don't want to overwhelm you with info. =)

Ok, now to blush . . . you definitely want to stick with pink based blushes. Thistle is good b/c it's a light brownish pink. Here are some other colors you could try . . .

http://www.naturallyflawless.com/naturally_flawless_blush.htm

Glee - rosy shade (actually an allover color, but some like it as blush ;o)

I'm Amused Rouge - dark mauvey pink (great for fall)

Hint - mid-range pink

Port - dark plum (another great fall shade)

Secret - cool pink

Beauty - soft pink

Flowers - bright rosy pink

Golden Gate - med pink to peach

Ok, blue eyes . . . Try: BROWN and ROSE shades . . . warm shades contrast the coolness of blue eyes, making them stand out. The liner you have will work good. These are some of the other colors I would suggest . . .

glimmers . . .

http://www.naturallyflawless.com/naturally_flawless_eyes.htm

Madras - rose gold

Tan Lines - warm copper

Amazing Amanda - rosy coral

Sex Kitten - dark copper penny

Here Kitty - wine color

Queen Tiffany - coppery brown

Pussycat - bronzed mahogany

shadows . . .

http://www.naturallyflawless.com/naturally_flawlesslooseshadows.htm

Cashmere - med neutral brown

Silk Rose - med dusty pink

Blush - pale rose petal pink

Java - med brown w/grey tinge

liners . . .

http://www.naturallyflawless.com/naturally_flawless_liner_shadows.htm

Firefly - copper penny

Bronze Leaf - smoky bronze

Hottie - golden metallic brown

Bark - dark brown

glimpses . . .

http://www.naturallyflawless.com/naturally_flawless_eye_glimpses.htm

Pink Posey - pink carnations

Clear Radiance is wonderful! I love it! You can apply it under your foundation or you can mix it in with your foundation. You can also apply it over your makeup at the end, but some of us find that it messes up our masterpiece. ;o)

Ok, I think that's it. Just email me with any other questions you have. Thanks, Lisa =)

I have a great BUZZ tonight!

2007-03-28 19:37:29

I just LOVE the name of this lip balm! It's so fun when people don't know what
you're talking about.
Does anyone else have Buzz? It just smells SO GREAT! I ended up wearing
it tonight under my Yumi lipstick, it smells dee-lish! Made me crave coffee.
Leslie is always talking about dipping Buzz into glimmers and stuff, but I've
found that Burt's Bees lip balm is a cheaper (and tingly-er) alternative!
Either
way, both balms are GREAT!

Re: [naturallyflawless] moisturizer question

2007-03-25 12:57:03

Hi from another Tracy! I also have dryish skin and I am using hope in a jar by philosophy. It has a really nice texture. At first I didn't think it was going to be moisturizing enough for me but it has been. In the winter months when my skin is really dry I will probably try the hope in a jar for dry skin, but right now the one for normal skin works fine. hth!
Tracy

Re: moisturizer question

2007-03-25 04:33:54

Tracy,
I use Merle Norman's Luxiva Preventage Firming Defense Creme Normal/
Oily. I believe it's a moisturizer slash wrinkle cream, and at 22, I may be a
little
young for wrinkle cream, but it's never to early so start. It's rather oily, so
I use
it sparingly in the morning before applying my makeup so it dried by the time
I'm done eating breakfast and picking out my clothes. I've tried MANY other
moisturizers, but they always make me breakout horribly. Oil of olay has a
really good moisturizer, very good for seriously dry skin. It dries very
quickly,
but it makes me breakout like a pepperoni pizza.
Goodluck!

moisturizer question

2007-03-24 22:24:48

Hi everyone! I just joined the group and have been enjoying all of the discussion.

I have a question: what moisturizer does everyone like to use under their minerals? I have dry to normal skin and would like to be able to apply my make-up within 10 minutes of the moisturizer application. I've noticed that my eyelids are dry and flaky - something they have never done before. I think I need to moisturize this area as well. Are the minerals causing the dryness? I've been using them for about a month and really love them! I have received positive comments from absolute strangers about my skin!!!

More QVC BE gossip

2007-03-20 18:06:00

Yep - all of the eyeshadows will come with sifter jars - still some debate as to whether or not they will make the jars larger or decrease the amount of minerals. Of course we want larger jars! I can't imagine they'd decrease the amount of minerals, but you never know. Also they are having a try-me kit, A53093, and it's one per customer for the release of the book which is November 15th. Also on 11/15, there will be a one day only large sized mineral veil offered. There are two new sets of colors coming out - I think Lisa already posted them. The customer glimmer set is A41673. No item number on the blendable set yet though. They are also coming out with a mini lip gloss kit with 6 (don't quote me) glosses in it. And they are working on an eyeshadow base to help the shadows stay longer. Also a new kit in the spring, Meet the Browns - all wearable browns to be followed by meet the blues, meet the greens, etc. They are also working on a better formulation for people
with yellow undertones. They'll be putting out a discontinued color kit too - mention of Oz being included in this, should be ready for the spring. When the TSV sells out on December 11th (there have been rumors that the amount set aside to waitlist has been met and you'll only be able to order it the day of - no idea if this is the case or not, the item number is A52506) they will offer a one-time-only on a color by numbers kit - three soft focus colors and two brushes. Also, they will be adding names to their brushes.
leslie from BE said in her QVC chat that many people have been using well rested and she will come out with a larger version
She also said big things are coming in december. Someone asked her to make sifter jars for eye shawdow and she hinted that something involing that would be coming in Dec. There is a book coming out either in this months visit or in the dec visit.

Bubbly and Faux Mink?

2007-03-20 05:42:56

I was looking at another bare minerals site, baresensebeauty.com, and I saw
they had two shades not posted on naturally flawless, bubbly and faux mink, I
was wondering if you wold be getting them in?

Re: Just Gotta Organize!

LOL, yeah, I tend to get anal when I get bored, and I was super bored today.
When it comes to organization, uniformity and conformity is just the candy on
my apple. It's like a fly buzzing around your head when things don't match, at
least for me it is.
Going to the craft store on Friday to get another lamination cartiage, the last
thing I want is to run out half way through my minerals!
The labels aren't as nice as Lisa's Kinko labels, but I like them.

Victoria

Re: Hello!

2007-03-19 23:42:43

Michelle,
I know what you mean, forget December! For me though, QVC will air at
seven pm my time, tomorrow! I can't wait!
Question though, they're airing three times this week, does anyone know if
they're they offering the same thing on each show or is it different each time?
I've never watched QVC let alone ordered anything from them!

Hello!

2007-03-19 14:09:57

I thought that it was due time to come out of lurking and introduce
myself. I am Michelle, yes another ;) I have been a BE user for
about two months. I came across this group and Naturally Flawless
from a recomendation from someone on Baby Center Bargain Board. The
ladies there talk about BE from time to time and most of them have
nothing but great things to say. I bought my first kit, foundation,
mineral veil, warmth, and a brush. I was so nervous because it cost
quite a bit for makeup, but I am so glad I did! I have ordered
numerous times from Lisa and I am addicted LOL. I have never in my
life owned so much stuff. I have never found a line of makeup with
so many shades of colors that I can use though. It seems like most
stuff is so versitile. I also love that there is no longer that line
on my jaw from the foundation. I still feel a bit like some days the
makeup is just kinda sitting on my nose, like I cant get it buffed
in or something.
I also have begun to use philosophy. I have the basic stuff and have
also bought most of the samples from Lisa, another obsession
forming.
I cant wait till Thursday to see what all they have on QVC, its
kinda like Christmas morning LOL. I have the Retro liner kit on
waitlist still, I am hoping that this will be filled on Thursday.
Anyone know anything about this?
I look forward to being involved with this group, you all seem so
great!
Michelle

Re: [naturallyflawless] Lisa...question

Lisa
I just started using the BE products I ordered from you and my face is burning (like I have a sunburn). Could it be the products (mineral veil, bisque and foundation)? I also feel it on my lips, but I'm not using any BE on my lips so maybe that's a good sign that it isn't the makeup. It's mostly on my cheeks.
The moisturizer I use is fairly new but it pre-dates the BE. any ideas?
Thanks

2007-03-18 02:50:16

I didn't hear Lexi for about 5 minutes and you never don't hear my daughter! So I walk back to my vanity and she's standing on a step stool playing in my makeup! Of all things to get open, she got into the Black Ruby liner! LOL! She thought she was funny! She said Pitty Mommy when I found her. =) I guess she remembered me telling everyone how versatile Bare Minerals was b/c she used it on her eyes, nose and chin/lips!! Thanks for letting me share! Re: Got my order!

2007-03-17 20:22:49

Don't Worry about it, it's good to hear you got what you ordered! I put on my
foundation before using my concealer, but I hear a lot of people do the
concealer first. I find that the concealer goes on better since I'm in such
humid
climate after I apply my foundation, but before mineral veil. I use my
concealer brush to spot treat with concealer and blend it into my foundation
so you can't tell I'm wearing concealer.
Good luck,
Victoria

I'm really interested in how to use the Bisque Concealer (my girlfriend gave me her BE concealer brush - not too sure how to use it!) - I've got a 2m old, a 2yr and almost 5yr which equals no sleep and really dark cirlces/bags!

So please help me look alive and pretty! :)

Re: [naturallyflawless] Well Rested and Bisque?

2007-03-17 02:49:11

Hi Victoria! They are both the same thing. I list them under both so everyone knows you can use them as both. =) When Bisque first came out it was an eye shadow, then it started flying off the shelves b/c it worked great as a concealer. Same thing happened with Well Rested. So hopefully now Leslie will make Well Rested in a larger container like she makes the Bisque. =) Thanks, Lisa

This question may just be because I'm really tired and my cognative function
is really low tonight, but what's the difference (or similarities) between?:
Bisque Multi Tasking Mineral and Bisque Eyeshadow? Sephora sells both.
Well Rested Concealer and Well Rested Eyeshadow? The Naturally
Flawless website sells both.
Or are they the same thing?

Hi there! I'm so glad you received your order quickly. ;o) It's really up to you. I think we all have different methods. Play around with each way and do whichever works best for you. You can try under your foundation, after the Mineral Veil, you can mix it into your foundation (which is what I now do) or whatever way you can think of. ;o) Give them all a try and you'll find one you like the best. Let us know if you need any help. Thanks, Lisa =)

2007-03-15 22:46:58

Hey guys,
I just got my first package from Lisa the other day. I ordered:
Bark
Queen Tiffany
Tan Lines
Java
Skyline
Amazing Amanda
Sex Kitten
Drama
Hottie
Along with Clear Radience and some other Multi-Tasking Minerals/All Over
Color. I wore Amazing Amanda yesterday, and I loved it! Normally I can't
wear pink makeup, but Bare Minerals looks great! I wore Tan Lines and
Queen Tiffany today, kind of a half and half vertical divide. I loved that too!
Gonna wear either Sex kitten, Drama and/or Hottie tomorrow...some
combination...we'll see.

Tried My Philosphy

2007-03-14 16:10:56

I tried the Purity Made Simple Facial Cleanser and Amazing Grace 3-in-1
Wash tonight...it not a good experience. The Amazing Grace made my skin
so ITCHY! I had to take another shower and scrub my skin with Ivory
soap...this also happened earlier this week with an Oil of Olay body wash. As
for the Purity Cleanser, it made my face SO RED. It didn't itch, but I looked
like
I had been lying in direct sunlight with no sunscreen for a week! I just hope
it's gone by tomorrow. I really liked the Gingerbread man salt scrub, I'm going
to get full sized container when I go to Sephora. Now I have an Amazing
Grace and Purity samples I can't even use...rrrar.

Re: [naturallyflawless] Cases? Containers?/Catalogs

2007-03-14 08:56:00

How do I get a BE catalog?

Thanks so much,

Jenn A

Re: [naturallyflawless] Cases? Containers?

2007-03-14 00:14:32

Hi Victoria! As you saw from the photos section, I use the tackle boxes from Walmart. This is how I use them though. I have about 5 of them for just eye colors. I'm a huge collector of eye colors! I label the box with liners or glimmers or whatever it is. Then on the end I label the "row" in a color category (browns, pinks, etc). So I can find the exact thing I'm looking for and the shade category. The 10g jars and 5g jars fit in there nicely (all the shadow samples come in one of these size jars). I use the 5th tackle box for . . . (1st four are glimmers, glimpse, shadows, liners) my favorite combos! I do the same thing label the box as Combos, then label each row with color categories. This system works well for me. =) I haven't found a great way to store my bigger jars yet though. For now I have a 4-tier shelf that sits on my vanity and I put labels on the sides of all my lids. Each shelf holds a different product (blushes on one, allover face colors on
another, foundations on another, etc). Why a whole shelf for foundations?? I have a few different mixtures mixed up. I have my regular foundation (#4.53), then I have a mixture of 3/4 foundation and 1/4 Clear Radiance), another with 1/2 foundation 1/2 Clear Radiance, and lastly one with my regular foundation and 1/4 tsp Warmth mixed in. I tan and that last combo is for the day after I tan. =) It's a crazy obsession once it gets going! LOL! The fourth shelf was my catch-all, but now Susie as inspired me to make it a custom mixed gloss shelf!! Ok, I've babbled and babbled, LOL. I hope this helps a little. Lisa =)

OH . . I don't have a train case (well I do, but i don't use it) b/c I couldn't ever find anything in there. Also I don't like storing the bigger jars on their side b/c too much product gets above the sifter. =) Whew! How'd this get sooo long. LOL.
victoryasue <victoriasueno@...

Dear Group,
I saw the picture of the tackle box in the photos section, and it got me
wondering how you all store your BE jars. I already asked about the brushes,
Lisa replied that she stores hers in a mug...which gave me the idea to use a
toothbrush holder I'd recently bought and never used.
However, what do you guys use to store your BE jars, samples and other BE
cosmetics in? Right now since I only have my foundation, liner shadow,
mineral veil, and summer bisque, I just keep them in the first drawer of my
bathroom in the top of a shoe box to keep them from sliding around when I
open and close the drawer. I've seen train cases and the like online, and I
was wondering what you all use. If I accumulate enough, I may purchase a
train case, perhaps the silver one from Sephora (which I've always wanted),
but we'll see how many I aquire first.
If you can, post pictures in the photos section!

Re: Cases? Containers?

2007-03-13 22:35:41

Wow! That sure is a lot of stuff!
I went to the new Walmart out here (Largest Walmart in the country and it's no
more than a 10 minute ride from my house!) Anyway, I didn't really remember
to look for a tackle box until after I'd already left, but I'll be going back
later this
week so I'll check it out then.
I really want to get a train case, probably just because I've wanted one since I
was a child...so I'll look at them the next time I'm at sephora to see how I
like
them. They're so expensive that I wouldn't be surprised if I don't get it! My
store has some really nice cosmetic organizers, so I'll look at those too.
I guess it's just a trial and error for what I like best...Thanks for the ideas!
Aloha,
Victoria

BE Stores (Actually a new thread)

LOLOL! I wish we had a Sephora. We don't have anything (no boutiques, not sephora, nothing) here in Cincinnati. =( Wha! LOL! Lisa

Thank goodness Sephora is my only BE outlet in the state, otherwise I'd be in
MAJOR trouble!
The store by my house will soon be encorporating BE into their store, instead
of just a tiny little display. Probably after Halloween...they'll be getting more
colors and more products...check with your local Sephora if you don't know if
they carry it! I LOVE to go there to play with the colors. I always go with just
my foundation and mineral veil on, the rest is to play play play! I end up
looking like a freak after with so many colors tried and removed, but I head
straight home after and make my 'To Order From Lisa' list. It's growing very
quickly since I head down there twice a week!

my face feels so clean during the day and not gloppy. I am trying to
learn the techniques and have been reading whatever forums I can find to
get more information. I would love it if someone would post whatever
available forums there are out there for BE makeup so I can learn more.
I am Tracy and I am from Atlanta. We have a BE boutique not too terribly
far from me, but with three young children (the youngest is 3 mo) I
rarely venture to the mall so it is easier for me to order my stuff
online, although one day I hope to be able to go and "play"! I also have
pretty dry skin and am hoping this line will work for me thru the winter
when I am my driest. It does seem that a good deal of the women who use
this line have oily skin, so I am really hoping that this works for me
b/c I am enjoying it so much. I have just also purchased some philosophy
skin care and am liking it pretty well, but I don't think the hope in a
jar for normal skin is going to cut it for me.. I need something
greasier! Maybe their hope in a jar for dry skin will work.
Anyway thanks for letting me join you. I hope to get to know you all and
learn tons about this fabulous product!

Re: [Norton AntiSpam] [naturallyflawless] Finally introducing myself!

2007-03-09 09:23:46

Where in Kentucky are you Jenn? I am in southern middle TN. 80 miles south of Nashville right at the AL. state line. My older sister lives in Cadiz KY.

Susie

I am in the middle of nowhere in KY,so I can't go to a boutique to sample anything.

There was some chatter on one of my soap groups about making your own but I am not ready to do that right now.I have too much on my plate as it is and would rather buy it.

Thanks!

Re: [naturallyflawless] SUSIE - what about Demure?

2007-03-09 07:05:02

I don't think I have Demure, I am in love with Blush!!!

Do you carry demure? I may have to check into that when I get some more funds...lol

Susie

Do you have Demure? This might be a darker version of Blush. Demure is an opaque pale true pink. What do you think? Lisa =)

Re: FOILING...and Burt's Bees Res-Q!

2007-03-08 23:36:02

Yes, after it dries she uses the flawless app brush to blend it outward, it give
a
nice look and contrasts different colors nicely. I think she actually used
clear
radiance instead of eyeshadow, I shall double check later.
Also, I tried the Burts Bees Res-Q ointment, I love it! It's healing my raw
patch
on my face very well (and fast!) and it seems to be the only thing so far that
has calmed down my navel piercing, which has been red and irritated since
April, which is when I got it. I used it last night and this morning my navel
wasn't red for the first time, and the irritiation has gone down considerably, I
may actually be able to show off my piercing now!

On the BE DVD I just saw Lisa applies the wet shadow to the middle of the lid
in a thick vertical line, then waits for it to dry.

Re: Product lineup for BE SHOW on Oct 21st. . . .

2007-03-08 15:37:18

Okay....
I don't know the rules for this but I am on another BE message
board..and this message was posted to it. I went staight to QVC to
check it out..and it was right...so am just pasting the message here
for you all to see...... Hope it's not against the rules!
copied from another forum:
I was on the Delphi forum and they announced the new Today Special
Value for QVC. It's scheduled for December 11th and you can
preorder it at the Q for $49.95. The number is A52506. It's also
an Auto Delivery kit and what's described is just the first kit -
there will be three more next year. I think in order to get the TSV
price, you have to order the first kit. It sounds great and I am so
excited! YAY! It comes with three brushes and that alone justifies
the price. From what I gather, the other three sets in the year
will be all different colors and will include brushes.
Can't wait! I asked for it for Christmas - the gift that will keep
on giving! =0)

RE: [naturallyflawless] FOILING

2007-03-08 05:55:20

Hi Jenn! Foiling is when you wet your shadow brush, dip it into the minerals, then swirl it around in the lid to making a pastey mix, then apply. Once it dries you can blend the edges to make it a little softer

OHHHHH.......thanks so much :)

Hi Jenn! Foiling is when you wet your shadow brush, dip it into the minerals, then swirl it around in the lid to making a pastey mix, then apply. Once it dries you can blend the edges to make it a little softer. Very pretty! If you use Visine or Contact solution instead of water it helps the eye colors to stay on longer. =) Thanks, Lisa

Re: Lisa: Traveling with BE

2007-03-06 09:34:47

I'd been using those sponges for several months now ..man they do
the trick. Plus you can wash them out every so often and let
dry ...then reuse. Also you can use to apply ..but go lightly and
then brush in afterwards to spread around.
You can get them in packs of 12 I think.

Newest purchases...more colors to love....

2007-03-06 05:05:42

I got the Crushed Velvet and Hint blushes from Lisa....
LOVE THEM!!!
I also got a few more eye colors....camp, purrfect, envy...love
them all.....truthfully I don't think there is a color I have met
that I haven't liked!!!!!
Then...I have been on a waitlist with QVC for a 32oz Purity
(ummm yep I love Purity!!LOL) and I got that yesterday after
waiting over a month---unfortunately the bottle had come open
and when I reached in to pull out the bottle I got a handful of
Purity! (Hey Lisa -- do you think I might be JINXED???)
But of course with it being 32 oz, I still have a TON left!!!LOL
I just ordered a few more things---I will have to let everyone know
what I think---one is a corrector for red....hmmmm gotta see how this
works????
Hugs
Dawn

This works really well! Thanks for the tip on the sponge! Lisa =)
M Montrey <bbabmontret@...

Hi Lisa,

We went on vacation last month and I meant to tell you about this then.

You'd suggested buying cotton rounds to put in the top of the BE jars, to keep the minerals from spilling all over.

Well, I didn't catch the "cotton" part, so I bought the round sponges instead.

I had a couple cotton ones lying around, so I tried both. I have to say the sponges, cut to size, worked even better.

They held the minerals in, and none of them got stuck in the fibers.. none wasted! Whoohoo! :-)

Just thought I'd pass this along while I was thinking of it.

Thanks for the tip.. I'm glad I tried it. ;-)

Re: very dry skin

2007-03-04 06:23:10

Jenn,
I see Lisa already replied to your post, but I'd like to add: If your skin is
dry just
mosturize, but if you have flaky skin, like I do, I suggest you take care of
that
before using BE or you'll end up enhancing the dry flakes and making it more
apparent. I fixed my flakyness by switching cleansers and continuing my
moisturizing routine.

Hi thanks for the quick response
I just mentioned the size because it was a little small for the
brushes to swirl and tap maybe it just me and I don't know i thought
that there was going to be sifter lol still waiting for my kit. does
usually take this long. I am going to email them about it!
Are you saying i should go through the process twice and what about
the primer ice cream and present do they work well too thanks
Michelle
Don't forget watch Farscape:b Peacekeeper wars this Sunday on Scifi!!

Hi Jenn! I can't find your original post introducing yourself. Can you forward it to me (if you still have it) so I can answer your questions. ;o) Do you mousturize? As long as you mousturize your dry skin before applying your BE you should be fine. Just make sure to allow your mousturizer to dry for 10 minutes before applying your BE. Thanks, Lisa =)

Re: [naturallyflawless] Be Makeup

2007-03-03 17:45:12

Hi there! Sorry you didn't realize the sample sizes. =( They are 1/4 of a teaspoon, but they do last about 10-14 applications if you are using them everyday. Unless you need A LOT of coverage, then you may use it faster. It really just takes the smallest amount to cover your entire face. You can use the products in that order or (since you have oily skin) you can try applying Mineral Veil first, your foundation, your Warmth, then the Mineral Veil again. The Mineral Veil is translucent and absorbs oil. If you have extremely oily skin you may want to try an oil absorbing primer first. I know Proactiv makes one and I'm sure there are lots of other brands out there. Here's a link to a Proactiv one so you can see what I'm talking about . . . .

It's on the bottom right hand side of the screen . . .

http://www.proactiv.com/system/system.php?PHPSESSID=e4639fa10bb23958a96891f5bbf1d3ca

Let us know how it goes and just post if you need help with anything. Thanks, Lisa =)

moisturizer for dry allergic skin--Victoria

2007-03-03 02:55:26

Hi Laura,

From the ing. list on this, the sorbic acid and BHT are acting as the preservatives.

It's very interesting.I have sensitive skin on my face too.I don't think I am reacting to the parabens or ureas in preservatives though.

I just wonder how well these work to prevent mold and beasties from growing in the cream/lotions.

I am sure that they are being well tested though.

I think I'll try some of this and see how it works on my skin.

Thanks,

Jenn A

<<I have been allergy tested and was told not to use any
moisturizer with parabens or preservatives in it.
They make my break out. My doc told me to use a
moisturizer called Vanicream. Do a google search on
it. It has absolutely NOTHING in it

Susie,
Yes, I do live in Honolulu. it is a wonderful place to live, though like
anywhere, it has it's pitfalls...
It's to bad you got sick, but at least it was AFTER your trip. The last time I
went
to Disney World I got so sick I was in bed for two weeks, the entire course of
the trip!
